+1 For Picton.....the drive from Christchurch to Marlborough is very nice, stoping by the towns for a nice pie or two, can't beat it....very scenic, you have Kaikoura which is halfway there, very nice scenery and as you get closer to Blenheim, very nice mountain-es roads. Enjoy, just got back from there and i'm already missing the place.

Arthurs Pass is an awesome road - if you have no traffic and a grunty enough car to get up the hills.

Nah unfortunately left the gopro at home, need to take it along more often
