Remote Start

hi jus wondering if remote start is a legal thing to have ive been toying with the idea but want to make sure that i can have it. and what would be the best kit to get and can u get a kit with central locking, immob, and alarm

ADR 25 requires that the normal function of the engine only occurs when the ignition lock is in the engine on position.

.... remote start breaks that requirement.

Just wondering, other than the mechanic doing a green slip or whatever... is there any real way for the RTA to know what you've got in your car?

not really. though if it goes for a random inspection and it is found (they do know what they are looking at ) you wil end up with a canary..

I just keep in mind that a mate of mine almost killed his 5 y/o when the neutral safety switch failed on his 4wd and he pressed the button.

If your car gets stolen then recovered and your insurance company finds it you will get no payout/have to refund them the total amount.
