Fuel Leak

I think ive got a fuel leak in my r33, its not enough of a leak to actually see fuel coming out but theres a strong smell of fuel every time i start the car. seems to be coming from the back of the car as i only seem to smell it as im reversing. but even so i want to check all the lines to make sure. problem is though how o you get the the rubber lines at the back of the car. I know the three lines meet at the top of the tank in the boot at the fuel pump and theres one connection at the left rear wheel but i cant find the other two. also if i did have to replace any of these lines how do i get in there to follow them?? looks pritty tight under there where the fuel tank sits. the only way i can think of is to drop out the tank to get better access but that looks like a feat and a half.

if you aren't actually losing fuel but can smell it then it may just be the rubber boot on the filler neck (goes from the tank to the filler cap). i think a few people on here have had issues with it in the past.

I see those funky vapour fumes in my mirror from the cap on hot days. do you see that also? is it a sign of leak?
