Mark - what diff ratio you running - seems high RPM for 100kph (in a V8)

I know it's not the same, but my GenIII did 1200 RPM in 6th - 110 kph ( if my memory is correct)

I cruise at about 5000 in 5th, which also chews the juice, no more than 400klm to a tank. Of course that's @ 200, not 100

now that's not a bad idea. i'm contemplating getting a tow up there because i've got several exhaust leaks and after 15 min of driving you start to trip. might not be a wise idea to drive a long way. might decide to take a nap while doing 100km/h
