Ok so it's a V36, only new to the Skyline world so please excuse my ignorance. Is this style of boot lip available for a V35 or is it a photoshopped figment of someones imagination.

Cheers Dean.

Hi Dean,

That chrome boot lip is only available for a V36 (I think it's an optional thing from Japan).

For V35 coupe, there are a few options (INGS, IMPUL, VERTEX, etc.) or like in this one (Photo of red V35 coupe rear view). (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...;hl=rear+bumper). Steve (CRISP 35) will know more about that moulded boot lip.

Dean - I think the chrome boot lip is the Standard fitment on the JDM 370GT, and the full length spoiler is an Optional extra.

Here is a 'real' pic of rear of my car.

There may eventually be chrome lips available for sale as aussie owners upgrade to full spoilers. A plus for V35 owners is that there is a rear camera hole built into both spoilers. Peter

^Yeah I'm pretty sure the chrome lip was standard on all V36 models (coupe and sedan) and there is another body coloured lip type spoiler which can be fitted over the chrome. By the way, nice set of wheels :(

Thanks Victor,I couldn't get this link to work. I have seen the error of my ways, the two boot lids are completely different and after closer inspection, I don't see any way they would be interchangeable. I am being a bit premature my car is still on a boat from Japan. Thanks for the feed back and suggestions guys I will keep looking for something that takes my eye.

You are welcome, Dean.

With the V36 chrome boot lip, I am pretty sure you won't be able to put it straight on the V35 coupe or sedan as the boot shape is different (Unless you modify it to fit).

I suggest, have a look around first and do research before rushing into buying all sorts of things. That way you don't spend money on things you can't use or don't like after a while. Also, keep an eye on "For Sale" section on SAU and you can grab a good bargain sometimes.

By the way, are you getting the coupe or sedan? Which state are you from?

Any questions, post them up as there are lots of experienced owners on SAU that can help.

Good luck.

From SA and I'm getting a 2004 70th Anniversary Coupe. There are some photos of the car before it was shipped in the Gallery section.

Hi Dean,

Yes, I saw your V35 photos already. Looks very mint.

If you got any questions, please feel free to post them up as there will be someone to help you out on SAU.

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
