10cm plus it needs to retain at least 2/3rds of the suspension travel between each item of suspension and its associated bumpstop.

The Ground Clearance of a vehicle measured from a horizontal road surface to any point on the underside of the vehicle except the tyres, wheels, wheel hubs and brake backing plates shall, with the vehicle in its loaded state as specified by the manufacturer, be not less than:

for any point in the width of the vehicle which is within one metre fore and aft of any axle, 100 mm;

for the mid-point between any two consecutive axles, the dimension in millimetres obtained by multiplying the distance between those two axles in metres by 33.33.

that 2/3 suspension travel is bs anyway so dont worry about that.

100mm usually looks like ass if you got a body kit you'll end up with fender gap i sit at 70mm lowest point i like it. To be legal you should aim for ride height of 110mm allowing for fatties

each to there own.

Anyway, all this info is covered in the EPA/Roadworthy thread, or you can simply look @ the VicRoads Vehicle Standards Information (VSI)

VSI8 covers this directly:

This may have already been resolved for you - but in laymen's terms, it's around a coke can's length...they have this stick with a wheel attached it and they basically run it under your car - if it's around a coke can's length from the ground, you should have no worries...

Or you just set up your car so the geometery is correct and your car handles properly.

haha i lol'd, might be in the wrong forum for that type of advice! ;)

Best handling height for r32 gtst; 350mm guard to centre of wheel (according to sydneykid)

re; low height; just set it to what ever height you want. Cops will defect you for anything these days. if not your ride height, something else. You can never win, so why bother trying haha. Least with adjustable height coilovers, you can easily put it back up to legal height etc
