This site will have some info - http://www4.wave.co.nz/~lakewood/Skyline/Alt.htm

Cross check the alternator model from a series 2 R33 against the listing there.

but i cant find the out put voltage. thanks any way.

They'll all be about the same - 32 GTR is 13.9 to 14.9v with accessories off at 2000rpm

i got R33 gtst. it was 13.8 on idel. bit warry about this...what do you think..?

doesnt matter who makes the alternator should be 13.8-14-4 in a perfect world. touch higher is ok but not too much more.

^^^ Agreed 1+. I recon my one is bit low. thats why im bit worried.

any way thanks guys.

13.8v is fine and nothing to worry about, especially at idle as they will put out a touch more voltage at higher revs (at idle they are spinning below optimum speed).

generally when they die they will drop down to well below 13.8V, or if the voltage regulator goes they will jump up to around 18v and start blowing lights, fuses, etc
