Boost Control

gday guys,

having a rb25 and box dropped into the 32gtst in the coming weeks with garrett 3071, power fc, injectors etc and am wanting the car the have a high/low boost setting ideally. my question is which one of the controllers would be better suited to my mods.......avcr or an eboost???

But i would get a ProfecB 2, awesome unit and can be bought here off the forum for a good price.

i've used eboost on my r32 gtr, had a friend with eboost 2 on his turbo R1 and they are rubbish hard to install hard to set up, BSM had the profect on one of the race cars ages ago and that was easier to use,i now have the apex'i fc with boost control on my r34 gtr and don't like it, i currently have a HKS EVC 5 on my r32 gtr and have just recieved a HKS EVC 6 for my r34 gtr, they are plugin to each conponent and you only have two connect two-three wires earth power then turn on and set warning level and then turn up done.

as for eboost they are only electric bleed valves not full controllers that is why they have pipe to atmosphere

Go all out and get the blitz icolour spec R a little on the expensive side but damn is it a good bit of kit

So you think the dual solenoid arrangement is worth the extra cash ?

Indeed it is IMO.

Nothing wrong with the AVC-R, but the dual solenoid gear that's been out (EVC6 also) does have its advantages and often is easier/quicker to set-up and have more features.

Get the eboost street as it can control the VCT which I am pretty sure the power FC can't.

VCT is essential and makes a massive difference.
