Hey guys just going through our shed and ive turned up a set of 32 gtst calipers 4 pots and rotors so hmmm front brake conversion

questions

1) is there a diff between r32 gtst calipers and r33 gtst callipers?

2) and diff between 33 and 32 rotors my memory is not that good think 32 are like 280mm or something not sure about 33

3)would it still be worth the upgrade using the 32 rotors seems there brand new and sitting in the shed

any help would be good

cheers

Rose

1) Yes, R32 GTST callipers are suited to 280mm rotors and R33 GTST are suited to a 296mm rotor. mounting bolts and brake lines are the same, just some cosmetic differences, the 32 ones have fins and 33 ones don't.

2) as above, R32 280mm, R33 296mm.

3) its up to you, stock stagea callipers are only 2 pot fronts compared to the 4 pot 32 ones, but the 32's are a smaller rotor than the stock stagea, i think S1 stagea rotors are 290mm. alot of people will argue that with new rotors and a good set of pad the stagea ones are good enough. personally i'd sell the R32 ones and track down some R32 GTR/R33 GTST ones, they are 4 pot and run the bigger rotor.

just make sure you trail fit before committing to installing any of them, especially check the calliper to rim clearance as the 4 pots will stick out about 20-25mm further towards the rim disk.

hmmmm so can any one confirm the size of s1 stag rotors if they are the same size as 32gtst rotors i will prob chuck these gtst rotors and calipers on at least there 4 pots

cheers

so some searching has not helped found a listing for wgnc34 rb25det rotors as 280mm :D but straight under it a listing for wg(n)c34 rb25det rotors at 290mm :) so any one know what the (N) denotes model wise think i should just go out and take wheel off and measure rotors but its cold and late

Pretty sure S1 and R32 GTST rotors are the same size's, as the slotted rotors im running with my stock S1 stag calipers are made for 32gtst

Yep your right measured up rotors today 280mm so will get a set of slotted rotors and use the r32 4 pots i got sitting here

I can confirm this (a little lol) as I run WGNC34 16" rims for drifting on my R33 GTS-t. Rears fit fine (but sit inside the guards like crazy!) but the fronts foul on the callipers as the wheel's offset is too high. It's probably out by about 2mm and can be fixed with spacers, but I'd sooner recommend new wheels :D
