R32 Gtr Over Heating

R32 GTR

mods to cooling

aftermarket radiator 42mm or 52mm not sure

16inch thermo fan comes on at 75deg

the stock overheat fan in front of the condenser also comes on at 75deg

normally i don't have a problem

but she has been getting up to about 95deg on freeway cruising at 3000rpm

but has no problem keeping cool at the lights temp even starts to drop.

Built motor

stock water pump

have Nismo low temp thermostat on its way.

i have heard of people having trouble keeping there cars cool with thremo fans but this seems strange to me!

thinking of getting a radiator air guide.

any thoughts???

As above or have you checked the level?

Thermo fans are gay considering how much air the factory fan pulls. Also make sure you are not just getting a false reading on your gauge. What gauge are you using?

Are you sure the thermo's not wired in reverse?

I had a similar issue, the thermostat was stuck halfway.

Took forever to warm up, idled hot at the lights, coolish on the highway.

Put a 87 degree thermostat in and it sits on 84 degrees all the time.

Does this thermo fan have any kind of shroud?

Fan should be set to come on at around 95. Thermo fans only need to run when the engine overheats. If you want one that works most of the time, put the factory fan back on.

Did you refit the "stone guard" under the radiator?

I was going to say fan clutch but you dont have it..lol

bleed the system and have the heater on full heat mode at the same time, the airlock can be in the heater core.

electric fans aren't the same effectiveness as the factory one. make sure you fit a shroud ??? front of it and behind the radiator to force the air over the fan not around it

system has been bled a few times

thermos are wired fine

thermos are on radiator so don't need a shroud as it would do nothing

don't have a stone guard

might have to try bleed really well when i fit the nismo thermostat

The powerFC get's it's reading from the Coolant Temp Sensor. If the sensor is faulty, then so are your readings. You can buy them from Repco or Autobarn for about $30 and I have replaced dozens due to them being faulty. If you haven't replaced yours yet, chances are it's faulty also. I would start there before running around trying to find an issue that might not be there
