Hi guys,

Just curious if this is a common issue with the R34 GTR's, but the F/Torque is not showing anything on dash display... it just sits at 0 at all times....

I even done a skid to see if it kicks in after it looses traction but still no good, is there something i can check to see why this isnt working, possibly a broken wire harness? the car seems to be pretty tail happy so i wonder if there is any power going to the fronts at all hmm....

Check the boost sensor hose. Mine developed a split and started leaking.

Theres an MFD diagnostic you can do (search and you will find). It will tell you if a sensor is faulty first. Failing that, try and ECU diagnostic assuming its standard. The Nissan error codes are pretty good.

hehe, sumthing must be playing up bro. i got the same problem on my 34. wiring maybe , but the boost doesnt show anything on da display for me :P

As well as the vacuum hose running to it splitting, the MAP sensor used for the boost gauge on R34's is a known item to fail - typically with a dry joint (or three). There is a thread on how to repair the dry joint (crack open the sensor, heat it up with a soldering iron).

If the gauge is intermittent, rather than just always gone, I'd be putting my money on a dry joint rather than the vacuum hose.

The thread you'll probably want to read is: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...-F-t259107.html

However, there are a number with pictures, and information etc as it's a very common issue.
