Im just about to drop in some tomei poncams 8.5mm lift into my rb25det and was contemplating doing the valve springs while ive already taken the cams out.

I was looking at the tomei type a valve springs 8.8mm lift , are these the correct ones I need?

Yep get Performance Springs.

I got a set in mine and they were a great price

You taking the head off to do the springs? (I did)

I looked on there site , which ones do I need cause its not model specific? and no Im going to do it with the head on and just pressurize the cylinder to hold them up.

The Performance springs is just little bit stronger then standard. The supertech springs are probably the best you can get at this stage. Those are stronger then the type B Tomei springs which are cheaper as well.

Totally agree. I lost one engine and broke valve springs in another with performance springs. If your aim is big hp the supertech is a much better option.

He is only after a 280-300rwkw setup it think so not huge HP/Boost given a stocker motor.

You're probably right Ash. they are an upgrade but if big hp is the goal I would choose other brands.

I am not the only one i know of to have probs with those springs in high hp situ's.
