I was helping James with your car the other day, it's certainly in good hands. James has the runs on the board building circuit cars and is a racer himself.

Joe mentioned your going to have it wrapped?

Matt

Yes he's helping me to hook up the hoses from the oil pump to the tank in the rear boot and the fuel lines to the rails+ pumps while it's at the painter.

It's hard to bring the car home and just work on it for a day or two to finish off things when it's goes everywhere to get other things done and to fit it into other people schedules.

Thanks for helping out Matt.

I am going to be tight for time getting it ready for superlap....and this project started ages ago.

Yes I do Matt. I have the front and rear sets with carbon discs and pads and a set of brand new spare cf rotors

I intend to sell them with the other parts when I complete this project but please drop me a pm if you are keen now.

Thanks mate.

The build is looking awesome Danh - long time no see, but I hope to see it/you soon :D

Good to see one of my old Youtube videos in your first post of this topic from back in the day .... ahhh the memories. Now that AIR is open again, are you going to drag it at least once to see what she can do in her new form?

I will have a look around my old data on my PC and see if I have more RH9 clips I can give you - I am positive I would have MANY more somewhere ..... just a matter of finding them.

Thanks Andrew. It will be good to see those. It will be a sweet walk in the memory lane for sure.

Yes I will definitely try to bring it to AIR for a few runs before I go crazy with weight reduction in the subframes and circuit suspension bits.

Currently it is built for all purposes; drag, motorkhana, hill climb and circuit. However I think when (or if) I go ahead with tube subframes and new suspension geometry, it's drag day will be over because those parts wont surive the 9krpm clutch dump lol

BTW the car is heading to Willall today for a few final things then dyno next week or two. I will try to snap up some progress pics. It will be good to catch up soon mate.

I had a bit of time to tidy up the shed this weekend, now that the car is at Willall getting ready for a tune, and boxed a few things from the drag car. Had a chance to put these things on the scale

the rear carbon rotors + the hat which is a one piece cnc drum+hat is on my other r32 so I could not take a picture.

All up is only 9.4kg so far lol ^_^

It has been certainly sad to see so much of the engineering on this car removed but it's a must for circuit work (and my budget). I wish I have the budget to use the cf brake system for the circuit but it would be a lot of $$$$ to replace.

I can't wait to get the car back so we can finish installing the rest of the aero.

The other black car was sent to Topstage in Victoria as a dummy a few months ago to get some carbon fiber aeroparts to help get some more grip out of this old girl. Freddy is a highly recommended and a top bloke to work with. We managed to get these parts ready just a few days before WTAC. Unfortunately we did not finish the wiring in time before WTAC 2012 because the electrician developed gout. I was away and did not get a chance to jab him with something for the gout so he can keep working on the car lol

Anyway here are some of Topstage good work...there are a few more that I have not got picture yet...all of which I cant wait to put on the car when I get it back soon hopefully.

I like the oem factory bumper look, which is probably not the most drag efficient shape but this car is not built to be driven by a pro....and "in theory" should generate a bit more downforce with less efficient air flow over the top...which is what this mere mortal need anyway ^_^ Freddy designed these parts for me

The front fiberglass fenders that were prepared in Adelaide were also cf to save a few more kg lol

Just a brief update before the year ends:

Car has been tuned a few months ago and everything went well for a conservative low boost of 430awkw on Willall dyno. Just enuf to drive up onto trailer for more work

Some last pics of the car in the metal shell before more aero bits lols

Small update to keep this thread alive ;)

Aero-parts are 70-80% done. The rest wil be completed while the cage is receiving some more work to accommodate for the extra load from aero, higher corner speed and new suspension/spring setup. So much changes in the past few years but the car is getting close to completion.

Once the custom rear and front suspension setup is done the aero parts will be bolted back onto the car and...... track testing time :)

Finally this ugly driver side intrusion piece is removed....should have seen CK racing development or Riverside Racing first for cage work...live and learn with this hobby lol

I've got a set of AP for this event Mike. Eastern creek doesn't need too much brake if you have enough aero ;)

I like your thinking!!! Can't wait to see this thing around lalla.

I bought two sets of calipers, couldn't help it :) .

A lot of work has been done in the past few months. I've been too busy to keep this thread alive (sorry). I will try to post more pictures probably later in the year.

This will be the car new ride height

Hoping to do some testing in a few months and a real shake down at WTAC this year.
