Struggling To Rev Over 4500rpm?

Hello,

I have been searching about this problem, but I want to know if anyone one else has suggestions......

I've got a S2 RB25DET with about 20k on the clock in a VL Calais.

When its still reasonably cool it will rev easily all the way to ~6000rpm

But when its hot it struggles badly - eg cant even overtake a truck on the HWY

My boost guage is still showing ~7psi while its struggling to rev

Stock boost with brand new spark plugs gapped to .8

Would this be the coil packs failing etc or something else? I've checked all other intake/vac hoses. Has 2 new fuel pumps.

Tried out another set of S2 coil packs I have at home and the same thing - but I dont know if the spare set was any good either though...

Any suggestions/help/please?

does it sound like a wrx as well lolz

Could be the ignitor on it's way out, they tend to be fine when cold but when they've warmed up they have problems.
