Installing Fast Database To A Laptop, Without Need To Carry Cd's?

Has anyone successfully installed Nissan's FAST parts database to a laptop so it doesn't need any CD's? I want it on my laptop showing just Skyline models, ideally, and don't want to have to use a CD in the drive bay. Thanks.

i do. i never had the cd's to start with (downloaded it). i just loaded the setup file, followed what i had to do there and then just had to copy some file into the windows folder and it was all done.

Yes - i have it with no CDs. I installed it years ago and IIRC there was a file with some instructions included. I'll have a look tonight. I think it was about 4 gig all up, so I assume that means its everything.

From memory you copy all the files from the cd to a directory on your hard drive. Then you open the FAST setup program NFSET.exe and click the CDROM Setup tab. In there you can point Drive 1, 2 etc to the directory on your hard drive where you copied the files.
