G'day guys

het guys im half way through my build on my rb25det but have sourced some rb26 injectors and need to raise the impedence to suit a rb25 running a power fc!! now everywhere i look i can only see resistor packs to lower it

I NEED HELP PEOPLES where can i find resistors to raise impedence guys!! cheers!!

If I'm understanding this (http://www.mantaro.com/resources/impedance_calculator.htm#air_core_solenoid) correctly, the impedance of a RB26 injector solenoid is fixed. RB26 injectors are low-impedance injectors. The purpose of the resistor pack is to reduce the current passing through the solenoid's inductor coil.

If you are using RB26 injectors then you will need a dropping resistor pack. Unless the PFC can detect and automatically adjust the current it delivers to drive the RB26 injector's solenoid.

(feel free to correct me if I misunderstand the whole concept)

Its great to hear someone having a bit of knowledge on this subject, iv been trying to source the right info for a long time now everyone seems to give me a different opinion or answer!! i have seen RB26 oem dropping resistor packs and havnt been to certain so basically what your saying is the lower the impedence the greater current needed for the solenoid!!

PFC's can't adjust for different impedances, so yes you'll need to add some sort of resistor. A GTR pack will work or you could wire in a resistor in series to each injector. 10W, 10 Ohm resistors seem to work well.

Just checking, but you are aware that RB26 injectors are top feed while RB25 fuel rails only accept side feed? You running a modded fuel rail?

cheers mate yeah just bought one off ebay hopefully it works out!! yeah iv changed intake plenum and rail to suit top feed!!
