what would cause a rb20det engine to stall every time i stop the idle drops and the engine pops and misses then it stalls what are some of main issues and how can i fix it with little cost.

1 more thing how come when i unplug the (TPS) throttle position sensor the ilde goes up from 800rpm to 1000rpmany help you can give me would be great

for the stalling try giving your aac valve a clean and for the miss firing thats ignition so try changing colipacks. once thats done reset the ecu. hopefully that works

Is your aircon on at the time?

I had a problem where the aircon compressor was on its way out and the extra load would stall the engine as you came to a stop. Other things to check are the AAC valve (do a search) and atmo BOV that can cause it. Any recent changes to the car?

nar aircon is never on doesnt work ill try cleaning the aac and see what happens thanks guys

Have you got an atmo bov? They can cause idle issues

mate i had the same problem i gave my aac valve a clean which was ok changed the plugs which helped but it turned out to be my cas pulled loose and mistimed the engine very random i no but it happend lol let us no how you go
