Hey Guys,

i know we have the newbie thread ect, but i'm just trying to find fellow locals and where everyone is...

Personally i'm located on the Gold coast and cruise around in a Silver V35 Coupe.

Id like to see where you guys are!

Seems to be a big Perth database on here.

Was that thread ever created for the QLD V3x owners? Eitherway - I got a V35 Silver Coupe up on the North side of Brisbane - usually see me on the Bruce Hwy going to the coasts.

Whats ur numberplate MYV35? I pulled up to someone on my R6 one Friday night as i was heading back to the GC..

No i dont think one was started...

I'm at southern end Gold Coast ... I very rarely see V35s down this end :(

I've got a blue V35 350GT Coupe

Im based in Palm Beach at the moment, Iv seen a blue 350GT around Tweed City shopping centre a couple of times

End of Jan we picked up a V35 for my wife out of NSW. We are situated at Mt Warren Park, just south of Beenleigh. Here are a couple of pictures as it was advertised online. Since then the rear spoiler has gone as have the "shopping list" stickers behind the front wheel archs including the GT sticker on the front bumper & we shaved all the badges. It still sports the NISMO S-Tune decals (for now at least as the wife hates them!) but the plates now read 43HAW (4-SHAW, our surname) - shame we could not keep the NSW ones!. My wife works locally but we head out & about most weekends when she is not working so say hi if you see us. I attend most SAU cruise events, usually in my HR31 coupe but when the next one comes around, if the wife will let me, I shall bring her V35 instead.

Nice car Andrew. I can imagine it looks a bit cleaner now that you removed the unwanted advertising. The last owner was a real sticker whore hey.

He sure was! I must admit but the more I look into what people are doing to their rides here in Australia as well as the US, the more I think that I will have to follow my wife's request & remove the NISMO S-Tune decals as well.

    • Adjusting the idle screw is usually (emphasis on usually) just covering up deeper issues. Stuff like the cold start valve not closing properly. Throttle shaft seals on the way out. Coolant temp sensors getting out of spec. Coolant temp sensors especially can be a bear to diagnose because they can fail subtly. My dad just spent weeks chasing down his high idle. He cleaned the coolant temp sensor and everything but the resistance curve just drifts over time and if it's been 20+ years they also get super slow to respond as well. Has a massive effect on fuel economy as if it's off the ECU is going to run richer and command high idle for far longer than it should otherwise.
    • How old is the battery, it's more likely your battery is on its way out.
    • I reckon you'd get 90% off. My washer doesn't get between spokes very well. Haha! I love my Gerni!  Argh! Steam cleaning has its place for sure.
    • Hey all, I did a voltage test with the car (video attached) not running for 3 days. And here is some interesting stuff: - Battery voltage is 12v (I had the key in the ON position) - Drops to 9.76v while cranking then quickly goes up to 14.5v - You will notice there was a sorta slow start but not as slow as it usually is. - Idle surprisingly was better at just over 1,000rpm instead of 1,100 rpm. - I turned on the A/C, radio and headlights in the video and the voltage remains the same - I haven't cleaned the grounding wires on the chassis yet, that's next. - Battery drops to 12.6v when I turn off the car and wait a bit Seems like I might have a parasitic draw? I do have an immobiliser system which does drain the battery more of course but was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking at fixing? Does the ground wires on the chassis have anything to do with the low 12v?        SAU.avi
    • My lord that is some low oil pressure as minimum in the manual! I guess the big part will be seeing how it changes as the engine gets more spirited use.
