Sticky Wheel Balancing Weights

When i got my wheels re-balanced they stuck the new weights on in a different spot so im wondering how to remove the old leftover like foam sticky backing that holds the weights on, ive tried everything but nothing will remove it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Use mineral terps or wax and grease remover. It aint easy but let it soak in a bit and just go to town on it.

About 6 months ago I took all my wheels off and cleaned the shit out of them on the inside (including doing what you are trying to do), mainly used mineral terps.

id use acetone. thats what i have used in the past.... soak a rag, leave it on for a bit... scrub off with rag..
