R33 Gtr Series 3 - 280Awkw

Recommended Posts

The wife has complained for the last time and i would prefer peace so its time to sell my Series 3 R33 GTR with 280awkw (19psi).

Here are the specs.

  1. Twin R34 N1 Turbos
  2. Motec ECU Tuned by CRD
  3. Forged ARIAS pistons
  4. Forged Eagle H-Beam Rods
  5. R34 N1 oil pump
  6. ARP Head studs, main studs, rod bolts
  7. ACL Race bearings
  8. APEXI intercooler
  9. HKS Oil cooler
  10. HKS Cams (272)
  11. HKS Cam Gears
  12. HKS Valve springs
  13. Clear Cam cover
  14. 550 Nismo Injectors
  15. Triple Plate OS Giken Clutch
  16. Lightened Fly Wheel
  17. OHLINS Coil-overs
  18. CUSCO front rotors
  19. Endless pads
  20. BLITZ 18X10.5 RIMS
  21. DEFI FUEL PRESSURE AND BOOST GAUGES WITH LINK CONTROLLER
  22. GREDDY E01 boost controller set at 18psi
  23. HKS Torque split controller
  24. Apexi Turbo timer
  25. NISMO 320KM/H Dash, including the Triple NISMO guage cluster (Torque, Oil temp, Boost)
  26. Surge Tank with external 044 Pump
  27. Nismo intank fuel pump
  28. HKS Dump Pipes
  29. Blitz twin exhaust
  30. XENON Factory head lights
  31. Ganador Electric Mirrors
  32. Sony Gigapanel Stereo

The car is in good condition with 70,000km on the clock.

Paint is fantasic with only 1 very small mark.

Interior is great and everything works.

Wheels have been dulled by the last owner deciding it was a great idea to try and polish them so they would need to be polished properly again to make them look like the great Blitz wheels they are.

Rego runs out on August 2011.

It was tuned by CRD and they stopped at 280awkw because the boost controller being a Greddy didnt like going over 19 psi too well but they advised with a better boost controller it could easily get more since the engine had no problems holding that boost. It is currently running a little rich due to this.

The only problem with my GTR is that the rear ABS sensors failed and i have replaced them with R32 GTR sensors as this is all i could find but they are slightly different and dont seem to work.

I will glady buy and insert R33 GTR sensors if you find them so that you can see all is working but all the wreckers i checked with seem to only have R32 ones ?

I am asking $24,000 (due to incorrect sensors and dulled wheels)

fav. skyline is a s3 gtr in silver. would buy this in a flash if i wasnt building a house.

good luck with the sale, car is dope !

Thanks mate, it was actually a hard decision as i had many plans for this and have put a lot of money into it but cant handle the complaining anymore so time to sell.

My wife was very upset after i sold my 350Z and wants me to get another one.

My favourite has always been the S3 GTR in Sonic Silver as well which is why i tracked down this one when i was looking.

Update : $21,000

1997 Model Series 3

After a long drive this weekend my front N1 turbo has started making noise and this morning I pulled the front pipe off to check the wheel and there is too much play :(

The turbos were the only things that were never changed and installed by the original owner in Japan so we were never sure how many KM's they had.

The wife thinks I have intentionally done this so that I can upgrade the turbo's and keep the car :) but unluckily this is not the case.

If I have any interest for my GTR as is then ill let it go otherwise in January ill upgrade the turbos and then decide what i will do

This is good value for someone which wants a cheap GTR R33 1997 Series 3 with a complete Forged engine.

You can either replace the 1 N1 turbo and at the moment there is someone selling 2 on eBay for $800 ono and installation can be done by yourself as its not hard or take it to any mechanic and guessing it will be less than $300 since it will not take too long for the front turbo to be replaced. ($300 is only a guess so please check with your mechanic first).

Im glad it happened to me the seller as it would suck if it happened to the buyer so in one way it is good it happened now but I have to cut my loses and depart with my R33 GTR and make the wife happy again.

If anyone is interested please PM me or contact me on 0417789177 (No private numbers please unless you sms first)

Thanks

Rob

If you still have it in April and I can scrape together the cash, I'm definitely interested :)

I would prefer the turbos to be switched/upgraded/whatever before I buy it though, but if you want a deposit before doing that (ie/eg I'd be paying for the switch) then that is doable. Mainly just for insurance reasons.

    • I don't how much the car makes a difference or whether it is just a question of gearbox and clutch. On mine it's fine. Pull type Nismo coppermix twin (standard, not competition) on the 5 speed in my Stagea. OEM slave cylinder. Bite point is a few cm off the very bottom of the pedal. Clutch pedal all the way down to put in gear, and when heading off at the lights, there's a tiny bit of nothing and then it starts biting. And fully engaged before the pedal is all the way released. There's a bit of play at the top where the pedal does nothing anymore. Are you in Australia @ck_chino? If you are set on using a Nismo slave cylinder I have one new-in-box at home. Ordered it together with the clutch but didn't get it fitted. We can work something out if you want it
    • I am using a pull nismo coppermix twin in an r34 getrag box, had both the standard slave and  then the nismo one. Adjusted pedal to get bite point how I wanted , it is on the higher side, but would fully disengage past half way down.  I also read that the nismo slave won't work but I had no issues with the stroke, might become one later as clutch wears but 2+ years of happy motoring so far.  Take the above as one input only, specially as my setup is a bit unique in that I am using an S15 clutch master , cefiro clutch pedal, custom braided clutch line. Lots of variables at play.
    • Oh for sure, I'm just recounting my thoughts 😎 I'm not what you've got there to fuzt with.... likely my first idea was on the money -- rebuild or replace connectors. You can get a lot of connector stuff here  -> https://www.rapidcables.com.au/ Didn't look in the boot of mine, because I replaced these when I renewed the pump (plastic of connectors had gone brittle) edit: what I used... https://www.efihardware.com/products/2120/Deutsch-DTM-Connector-Kit-6-Pin ...cheaper... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364900039138
    • In no way was i suggesting it’s your fault mate. The trailer cable has a plug that I removed. I will have a closer look, but I did remove the trailer wiring cable with the tow ball as I don’t need it on my silo. i have replaced the fuel pump already there’s no need to remove the cradle again I can see the wire colours from it in.
