Starter Motor Dead

Hey guys

Need some help here.

Starter motor on the gt8 is dead.

Other then pulling it out and refurbish is there any other cheaper or faster way?

Is the 350z starter motor the same one?

ok 96 views and I'm still having a monologue here

.. anyway, for future reference ... I've got it fixed .. $250 recon + $80 labour in out done!

I found one for $275 from an interstate wrecker, me thinks is too much for a used and unre-con unit.

From Nissan Aus? -> about $1500 + shipping waiting time from japan.

The price from Nissan is simply out of order, as one of the NM35 boys found out.

Either Import Monster, or the reco route you've taken are the only sensible options. At least you have warranty with your reco.

yeah that's me ..

but the car is still not starting up occasionally .... and the startup is still sluggish, not what you'll expect from a new 430CCA battery and a fresh re-con starter motor

.. going to get the immobilser checked out tomorrow from the workshop that complianced it.
