Hey guys

I've had the dreaded clickining the front end for over a year... it comes and goes. Sometimes after changing wheels (at the track) it will go silent for a few weeks, then eventually come back.

I think we've all seen the posts on nagtroc, every now and then someone finds a cure.

Tie rod ends, dry axels, cv's, missing extra spring clip on calipers, etc etc etc....

Anyway i tried everything, with limited success. Until this past weekend it seems to have disappeared entirely (thus far).

This is what i did:

- Remove front wheel

- Take 8mm socket and hand tighten all the disc rotor hat bolts by hand (not too tight)

- Refit wheel, make sure you have at least 120Nm to tighten wheel nuts

- Do the other side

- Bravo, no more clicking!

I think the clicking is related to either a) the disc hat bolts moving around or b) wheel nuts simply not being torqued to spec. Simple as that.

if you have the clicking, try the above... report back and let us know.

Now i know the rotor hats need to be torqued to about 15Nm... so doing them by hand probably isnt the way to go, but as an experiment worth trying if the clicking is bugging the hell out of you (was driving me mad)..

.. Get the bolts torqued properly if going onto the track of course.
