I Am Looking At Buying Another R32Gtr, Located In Vic

Recommended Posts

hi guys,

i live in sydney & i am interested in an r32gtr which is in vic.

my mate who lives in vic has looked at it & says its a good car, however, i want to organise an inspection to make sure that it has not had a rollcage in the past, there is no accident damage & that the suspension/bushes are not showing any signs of circuit abuse in its previous life when in japan.

which workshop is recommended near the cbd (hopefully within 30min drive) who can look at it on a hoist?

ive been quoted $200 which i thought sound a bit rich!? maybe im wrong :)

regards

Within 30 mins of CBD...

Chasers Motorworks in Footscray.

RE Customs in Springvale.

Protek in Preston.

There are others, can't remember...

$200 for workshop inspection? Sounds right.

I think even the RACV vehicle checks are about $200. I would prefer a GTR specialist at least that way they know what to check.

fair point - have u guys heard of 'NuNismo'? are they reputable gtr specialists?

Sounds like the old "Nisma" workshop re-badged, somewhere that is most certainly not reputable.

Honestly you are better off paying for a full Racepace inspection.

Get it comp tested as well etc etc. Bit of a effort but its either 20-30k or $500

I recently had a full stateroads inspection for a NSW car, best $300 i'd spent as it stopped me from buying it and wasting my cash.

i recently did the same when dan @ elite racing development in qld inspected a car for me - it was a moneypit which could not be seen without a hoist

^ they dont have a serious website to match though lol

that is true. last time i was there a couple weeks back they had a few of the Vodka O cars (rebuilding the Mossler, Audi R8, and a couple of the Gallardo cars too). The time before that they had 3 r32 GTR's all fully caged race prepped machines, and some wicked looking time attack/GT looking Evo 6. So dont be discouraged by the lack of info in the website. It cant hurt to give them a call. Cheers
