i bought a new foam for mine and will wash the old one if i can be bothered....

i have heard warm soapy water or kerosene does the job, and not to use harsher chemicals...and u must remember to re-oil it using correct oil, but be very careful not to over oil it as it can ruin the internals of you AFM, which will have adverse effect on how your car runs...

if you do a search you will find more detailed answers.

well u oil the foam after you wash and dry it thoroughly....as i said if u oil it too much you will have problems....

if u arent feeling too confident with this process, you can always buy an new foam which is already oiled for you....it is around 60 bucks so not too bad, and you can rest assure your AFM wont be drowning in oil..:)

1. U can clean it dish detergent or something similar. Gets all the grease off etc.

2. Use K&N Filter oil or anyother branded filter oil, spray a very light mist over the filter nothing to crazy very light, thats how foam filters come from the factory very lightly oiled which u may sometimes notice. My 2 Cents.

I just bought some oil filter cleaner from autobarn, it looks and smells exacly like detergent so i probably got ripped off. it was $20 for 1 litre, meant to use 50-100ml each time you clean the filter but mine was looking pretty dirty so i used about 300ml. I got a bit carried away but i guessed the element probably hadnt been cleaned since being put on the car years ago in japan.

Air filter oil can be bought from autobarn or wherever.
