Maybe I'll win Lotto and turn up in a MacLaren F1 LM Long Tail...get Bridstone to build me a custom tyre with a "treadware rating" of 550 and have a single groove on the outside as my "tread" and win "club" class with a 1:20 flat or something silly

Ok I'm dreaming, but that is pretty much where "time attack" everywhere in the world will end up in 5 years if it keeps going the way that it is

Well isnt that RX7 effectively a GT300 car, and the little Exige a GT3 car out of Europ? So its already happening. If i had 130k then i know what i would buy

I just don't see why the main rule in open/pro class is no Porsches. I'm not a real Porsche fan (although I do love the itsfun car), the cars are no where near their road going form, so I can't see why they are so scared of some beetles from Germany.

Probably because a GT3 RSR on semis would be quicker than 90% of the field outta the box

edit: I just looked at the rules again, and the rule resticting rear engine 6 sylinder cars is gone. I have made a lyer of myself

My car is now ready. Limited power level because of a restrictive intercooler but at least it's racing! Very promising after a test day at sandown on the weekend. The day was mostly wet but already slightly faster than my previous times on old tyres and struggling to get heat into the tyres in a dryer but cold session.

Only really going to get one more days testing at PI and then its time for superlap
