240rwkw from a 3071 is not surprising, Garretts are a mixed bag to begin with.. Always hit and miss on results.

A Hit 3071 is 290rwkw, a miss is 240rwkw. Hit 3076 300rwkw, miss 270rwkw.

I want to know myself! One way or another it's pretty sweet, and no doubt the 4deg retarded camgear has a fair bit to do with it though the manifolds can't be hurting, and the turbo clearly needs to efficiently flow up there.

Simon - do you know of anyone with cams and a T67, or do you have any plans to do it yourself?

I honestly have to say my opinion is the combination of the 6boost and a healthy motor.

Simons motor does not show any signs of sloppy valve springs which I think are the main contender in limiting an RBs power development.

I ditched my RB for this exact reason, I knew it was fine as a factory motor but also knew it was anyones guess how it would handle over 300rwkw. I am, however, dubious of the benefit of the forward facing plenum.. Yet wont knock it either.

The different size/length runners make a reasonable amount of difference with this kind of thing and sloppy valve springs no doubt come into it too - but peak power for a factory RB25 by definition of Nissan is 6400rpm, and a car with stock manifolds and pretty much any turbo will make peak power around those rpm. Thats where mine makes its peak power, as with gazillions of others I have seen - I am pretty sure a T67 will be no different.

You're going to need some pretty serious mods to get a 1JZ revving like that ;)

OH YEAH?!?!??!!?!11!! Dont make me huff and puff and blow your house down!

Kidding, well see Mr Duracell lithium ultra :thumbsup:

I have a few concepts Im toying with at the moment, yet my primary objective is to get this thing on the track as quickly and as cheaply as possible WITHOUT the use of the factory twins.

No doubt the FFP has changed the motors dynamic VE, yet I am dubious to what extent and effect. Yet I honestly am no expert in this sense either.. I just HAVE to point out a healthy motor to begin with, thats a major factor in my eyes.

This is the only graph I have seen with a Kinugawa T67-25g with cams;

Blue = Stock cams

Red = Camtech drop in cams

No plans for cams, I really don't see the need... Turbo appears to be maxing itself out and I have more than enough power throughout the rev range :)

yeh me too :) where you getting yours tuned? ill most likely be taking mine to STATUS.

i was going to status, but ive chosen a different tuner, the guy im going to was recomended to me by a friend, he tunes thier GTR track cars, and also an aus distributor of KAMAK turbos.

Nice, was that on pump gas? The factory setup is pretty impressive, going by that lot.
