Yes, how long is a piece of string fits well. The better question is what do you want...... Kando has got a lot of cars covered, Evos, Subys, SR20s and generic.

The skyline stuff falls into the generic catagory, which need custom everything that touches the turbo. Custom manifold, custom wastegate, custom dump pipe. Even the internal wastegate turbos kando do will need custom dumps and spacers off the stock manifold.

If you like what you see from the T67, get one and get the bits mentioned necessary to make it work.

If you want it to bolt on and fit easily, have a look at Hypergears current turbos and pick the one which makes the power u want.

At the end of the day its power and method. Some of us would prefer a 20g over the HG SS turbos, fast spool and up to 300kw. There is likely to be little benefit at the end of the day... And it will need a manifold and gate whereas the HG will not.

Answer: if you want less than 300kw just get a HG. If you want 300+ get the T67. If your not sure, also get the HG because the Kandos will need some serious effort applied.

couldnt get a better answer than that! thanks mate.

There you go ladies... TD06SL2-20g T3 flanged internal gate with V-band rear...

Bolt on, get a simple dump pipe made and off you go :)

Should be good for 280-300rwkw with not a lot of lag

the only thing that worries me is the 8cm housing. on a rb25 wouldnt a 10cm be better i dont think the 8cm would quite make the 300rwkw close but not close enough

but im still a little confused before in our conversation simon you said the 10cm would be my best option do you think the 8cm with IWG or the 10cm with external gate would be my best bet

I think Externally Gated is better than Internally Gated in all performance scenarios. The reason people dont it is cost, more complex and legal issues. Yeah I think the 10cm housing is the way to go and Simon's recommendation for you still stands.

Simon is referring to people who have specifically asked about kando bolt on options for an rb25 with standard manifold.

I dont get it , why does it look like the gate is welded up, and where does it exit too..It's also not really a V band housing, its just a normal bolt housing with an adapter... I doubt it would make anywhere near 300kw,..But im happy to stand corrected..

What the hell is that thing Simon..it is a joke right...

They exit at 90deg before the weld... Like the old hypergear ones! Yeah it's dodgy but it's better than nothing and for $800 it's pretty decent.

I wouldn't run it but still might be good for some people on here :)

Best bet for 300rwkw like Simon has recommended me the td06sl2 20g with 10cm housing and external gate

What is a realistic cost for this setup. Eg the turbocharger, a manifold, a gate, lines (needed ??) a dump and paying someone to custom make stuff?

Assuming all you can do is fit it up, you can't fab anything yourself. I'm curious how it stands up to an internally gated bolt on garret or a HG turbo.

If this is for a VL I think your obligated to use a f**koff massive highmount turbo lol Seriously though if you want a solid 300kw on bp98 get the t67-25g its not laggy especially in a light VL.

depending on the manifold and gate quality, 2-3k extra.

Will probably have boost creep issues. Like the kkr turbos which have the same style rear housing. You can buy all the parts separately from kando. And could be made to fit a gt30 turbine housing or even an op6 if you wanted to go that way. Another way would be to weld a gate on the bottom of an external gate housing and try and hide it.

Please forgive the lack of spaces etc I'm using my iphail atm

Battery a rb25 in a Vl so it same as a skyline it's a streeter so highmount is out of the question

personally If its a dedicated streeter then I think the stealth benefits of the hypergear outweigh the boost control advantages of the external setup...
