Taxi what power did u make with 3076? Was it the exact same setup with 3076 or have u changed other things?

Changed things, Was Rb25-3076 @ 350rwhp on pump 98, Now RB25/30-T67 with upgraded fuel system, bigger wastegate off exhaust housing & Eflex.

Runs but few mods required as its blowing intercooler pipes! :whistling:

Jez you havent got your drifter back on the dyno yet :domokun:

I would love to put it on but some one (BSA) tripped on the serial cable and broke my usb to serial Brainbox for the dyno.

Dyno has been out since Dori's car :(

Would be good to see a back to back comparison as the 3076 was always the turbo to choose for RB25 but the Kando is proving to be a performer now too...

I chose the Garrett option, but have been reading this thread with great interest as the results are impressive....

Anyone know if an anti surge cover does affect boost response? Its to use a tdo6sl2-20g t3 8cm external gate on an SR20det.

I haven't as yet heard of any SR's having surging problems so if the anti surge cover does hurt response id go for a standard cover.

Any thoughts or experience?

Judging by the results in this thread that's good news for me then

When mine is tuned ill see if we can find a car with similar mods and compare i guess!

Will keep reading with interest for now tho!!

You have the 20G eh? If so, thats not surprising - looking at the bigger picture from places where people have tried everything under the sun the 20G seems to give the GT3071R some real work to do, both seeming to drive similar and deliver similar results. The general impression I have is that the GT3076R gives basically nothing noticeable away to either (in terms of driving experience) but has the ability to generate a decent amount more power, which is one of the reasons you'll find in the big picture GT3071Rs aren't that common a choice given they bring nothing more to the table than a 20G for a bigger price - or as a balance, less to the table than a GT3076R for the same price.
