Hi i need a new turbo asap and dont really have time to read through all these pages but basically does any of the TD06 turbos bolt to the stock R33 dump pipe? I noticed on Kandos ebaystore they had one that does seem to, it says it uses a stage 3 turbine does anyone have that turbo or know anything about it? I'm really only wanting 250ish rwkw with good responce and was considering a hypergear hi flow as i have a op6 housing sitting around but i just discovered this thread so am now confused which way to go, please help.

The kando highflow is not tried and tested yet, but is the only one in their range which will bolt up.

Your best bet is to send your shagged turbo to hypergear and get someone that many people have bought and know its good.

Bear in mind you cant just slap the thing on and wham get 250kw. You will need an ecu and the rest of the supporting mods.

Correct. A TD06SL2 20G is the weapon of choice if you want to go that way. It has been done and 260 was easily hit on 98 by 2 members... 300 when running E85 with supporting mods.

Bear in mind that requires an external wastegate also, which will need to be plumbed off either the exhaust manifold or exhaust housing. Despite the turbo being $700 odd you should budget up to $2,000.

In light of the above 250kw is arguably better attained from a <$1,000 hypergear 2IU 'standard highflow'. Have a read of the HG thread and you will find user reviews from people who have put them on near stock cars to people who are using them in track cars, good reliable option which will bolt straight back onto the car without further modification (other than EFI type supporting mods as mentioned prior).

Please read the many threads the forum has, you will be able to form your own opinion on where you want to go from there.

I second this....

Yes, it is a hybrid TD06SL2 with his billet 71 and 74mm wheels.

Again you still need to budget at least 2k to have it on the motor, and the above 300 supporting mods are arguably a lot more difficult than the those for 250 (need to move to E85, external gate, so on and so forth).

I know people who have done ~300kw @ hubs from stock EVO 9 turbos as well, as well as EVO3 16Gs with the bigger comp and turbine housings. We are going the non-EVO fit EVO3 spec 16G with 8cm housing so I'm picking we'll be able to make some decent power. The car only has a 2.5bar sensor so we can't get too carried away with boost, but I am sure we'll still get OK results :)

tractor SR's are a long way from 4g63's though.

Absolutely, we're not expecting magic. The old PE1420 delivered all that was needed of it - so as long as the 16G at least matches it's flow (no doubt it won't match it's response) it will be considered a success. Turbo is ordered, hoping it will be here next week :)

Don't break my heart :(
