Didn't see that in the listings, and the car it is going on already had a BOV plumbed up that works well. A billet 16G is something we were talking about that we thought would be good, didn't know they had them!

Nonetheless price was a concern and it would be good to see how the billet ones perform and lasts before taking a punt at them, I am sure the 16G will be good for the time being :)

That turbo has me fking interested LOL!

I dont think it will fit up with the stock SR manifold though. I think the BOV will foul.

I shouldn't look at this stuff though, I have a proper mazworx Vband manifold at home for a real setup lol

The bov is mounted on the pressure side and as you can see in the pic it plumbs back directly in the intake

Look closely in the intake it has a slot where it plumbs back

i beleive that slot on the intake is for wastegate pressure...the slot on the BOV is for pressure also...what I dont understand is where the BOV is venting to..does it just vent atmo somehow because thats the only way I can see it working..

ed* ok looking at other pictures I can see those little holes around the side of the BOV are vents...

Update: Booked in with JEM for the 5th of June to drop the car off.

Hoping for 230ish rwkw on 22-23psi TD05-18G (Nistune/Walbro/555/38mm E/G)

With 10x better response then the Td06h20g (fail I/G) which made 213rwkw @ 18psi (IIRC)

Wish me luck. Will post dyno results/sheet when its done :)

Good stuff! Nice choice in tuner too ;)

what are the thoughts on these?

i don't come on here often but i couldnt find it in the last few pages

seems like the kando product a lot of people were waiting for

That BOV vents to atmosphere. The port on the inside is where the pressure goes in, BOV opens and you can see those holes machined into the BOV all the way around the neck of the BOV, out comes your air. Pretty innovative design.

Potentially quite good.

I believe STATUS has a result for one of these, perhaps PM him or check his FB page as I think it was posted there.

The combo appears to be a T04E stage 3 turbine with a 20G compressor, which has quite a good 'theoretical match' to the RB25. Somewhere between a GTRS and a GT30 is a reasonable way of thinking about it.

Not sure of its worth considering the infinite feedback available on the HG highflow, especially when considering the after sales support.

No that kind of thing can't work, DP said so!

That slot can't be pressure cause it's on the inlet side it's mounted right on top of the outlet so it will be getting its pressure from there

Those holes much be the design of it

Its a Volvo S40 housing man, normally its meant to have a little poppet valve on it which DOES vent back through that slot.

For some reason Kando has produced the new ones with a 50/50 BOV which vents to the return slot before the turbo inlet AND atmo at the same time. Like those 50/50 turbosmart ones.

Heres a photo of the OEM Volvo turbo with the OEM Volvo BOV which will clear things up for everyone:

    • If you are fine with China turbos, Maxpeedingrods makes a bolt on turbo. Ive had mine for two summers now and it seems to be holding up ok.
    • Howdy all Im in a little predicament and wondering what everyone’s thoughts are? I’ve had my long block rebuilt and am in the market for a turbo due to my old one having metal shavings from crank bearings (cause of rebuild) go throughout the turbos oil lines and there wheel has a little play. I’m not really aiming for any power, just trying to keep it as oem as possible, but I can’t find a turbo that’s built for the stock ecu or find something that would be a standard replacement. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions
    • How's everyone going? Just a shout-out introducing myself. I'm James, I live on the north side of Brisbane. I bought an R33 that had been left to rot in someone's front yard for 14 years. Apparently, it has immobiliser/fuel issues. Long story short, it's suffering from a seized engine, plus whatever else turns up once it runs. The car is pretty good considering it sat for so long. It pretty much died after being imported. It has a bunch of Jap parts and a full Top Secret body kit. It's painted Fiat Turchese Festival, or aqua blue if you're not French. Another project to throw money at!
    • So the clockspring is responsible for the indicators cancelling on their own? I thought that was the function of that white thing in the center (any idea what it's called?)
    • Can you log IAT? Whilst WTA coolers have their place, doing any sort of sustained run is not one of them There are fixes that slow down the heat soak, like ice boxes, which don't last that long, and interchillers, which are fairly expensive, up grades to the WTA cooling radiator, which may require a bigger pump, and upgrades to the reservoir size,  and upgrades to the cooling fans, but, it all still heat soaks, and takes ages to come down in hot weather  For a turbo, that isn't locked into WTA like my PD blower is, can you not possibly swap to a nice air to air intercooler????, it would be better for sustained runs then, and have alot less things that could go wrong in my opinion
