Problem With Mongoose M80

My Mongoose M80 has been acting strangely lately. It will not arm or disarm via the remote unless the key is in the ignition and the ignition is turned on (without the engine running). When I press the remote button with the ignition on the alarm arms/disarms and the central locking locks/unlocks. WIthout the ignition on it does nothing except arm itself after 30 seconds of being switched off. It happened a few times intermittently to begin with but now it is happening permanently... I have tried the spare remote and it did not make any difference.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

If it is nothing obvious then has anyone got a recommendation of a good mobile auto electrical dude?
