[Act] Fs: Mint Caparison Angelus Hgs Pro Black Gsm $1500 Ono

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and girls, I've gotta sell one of my electric guitars to make way for other financial commitments. I suspected this might happen in advance, therefore it's had very little play (to keep it in mint condition). It's a Caparison Angelus, all I've done is chuck some slightly heavier gauge strings on (11.5 16 26 36 46 60). The strings they put on it when they ship are ridiculously light for something meant to tune to B standard. (It holds any tuning just fine if you use the appropriate strings).

It comes in the standard Caparison hard case. I'm in the ACT but would be willing to ship within Australia. Obviously a local sale would be preferable. If I have to ship it, I'll slack the strings off, and I still have the double box used to ship it to me from Japan originally, so it'll be packed insanely well.

I'm looking for $1500 Or Near Offer (which will include shipping within AU). I paid $2200 for it from a shop a coupla months ago, so bare this in mind if you like to 'haggle'.

These are the same guitars used by the Swedish metal band Soilwork (my heroes!). It's the same kind of model that Peter Wichers uses on the "Young Guitar" demonstrations (you can find this on youtube). All he did was chuck an EMG81 in it (but the stock pickups sound insanely beefy to me). I will be sorry to see this go :(

Feel free to ask any questions: you are MUCH better ringing, rather than sending a PM: 0404 896 713.

    • Very true, if buying new, I would not get an PP either. Minimum is an Elite 2500, which is also considered outdated. Get something that supports DBW, delete that cable throttle. Best thing I've ever done to the Skyline, next best is refreshing the A/C with a new condenser. It's cold, but not as cold as modern car, but colder than most 90s JDM shit boxes imported into Australia.
    • Haltech have a nice comparison table between the Elite and Nexus models -  https://www.haltech.com/ecu-buyers-guide/ In general, the Nexus is better. Haltech have some nice product videos on their YouTube page, I'd have a look at those and if you're still not confident what way to go, I'd give them a call. They have the best customer support of any company I've dealt with, I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
    • Not to mention, that the correct diagnostic approach to "electrical thing does not work" is to start with what I outlined above. You only do swaptronics for things that can't be tested really easily, like ignition coils, AFMs, etc etc. And even then you hold your breath in case the fault that possibly killed the original unit kills the swapped in unit too.
    • Unfortunately man I don't think there's much here. You may very well be the only person to ever interact with/modify/have to un-modify that wiring. I was once selling a stalk. Due to how Nissans Nissan, the indicators and the hazards are on the same circuit. if you don't fully plug in the hazard switch, the hazards will work but your indicators won't. People then go looking for indicator stalks, but the issue is the hazard switch not being plugged in fully. That is the entire encyclopedia of R34 indicator knowledge lol
