car is a 33 series 2 gtst.. stock turbo is on its way out.

Considering a brand name turbo is going to set me back big $$$ i was considering a cheaper turbo. i.e Chinese / brazilian turbo. I know everyone has opinions on the cheaper stuff "you get what you pay for" but im just looking for a replacement for the stock turbo.. I'm not after big HP either.

Yes i've done research and as always i end up sitting on the proverbial fence. I just dont want to spend thousands on a turbo thats going to do the same job as a $700-$800 turbo.

Opinions? Advice?

flame on!

i would usually suggest high flow but he said he was just after a replacement, nothing for horse power application...

hence i suggested a stocker... plus their cheap...

sounds to me like he wants to upgrade since the stocker is rooted anyway, but not spend a whole heap of money on somthing that would be overkill.

+ 2 to highflow your current turbo, buying a second had one could have the same problem later.

f you highflow it you know its all new gear but in a bolt off bolt on application unlike the Chinese stuff.
