Hi guys,

I have some options in plenum choice that i need some advice on.

At the moment i have a china front facing plenum with a china 80mm throttle body. That has 3" piping going down merging into 2.5" as that's the size of the intercooler outlets (the intercooler size is 450 x 300 x 76mm) to which then will go 2.5" to a TD06S L2 20G.

I don't know whether i should bring it back to the stock plenum and throttle body or not before the tune as i know the china front facing plenum loses torque and people are telling me with the 80mm throttle body inst ideal ether. Also how the piping will go down from 3" to 2.5" to the smaller intercooler doesn't seem that fantastic.

My problem is that it is in a 180sx and the only way i can make the stock one fit is if i make the stock one front facing with the stock throttle body, and then i will run 2.5" piping down to the intercooler.

So my question is which is best? I know both are not that ideal but my choices are:

Keep the china front facing plenum with china 80mm throttle body that has 3" piping going down merging into 2.5" with the smaller cooler.

Or use a stock plenum with stock throttle body that is made to be front facing with 2.5" piping going down into the smaller cooler.

Andrew.

Im running a front facing plenum, (RIPS plenum) and use a silicon reducer from the std throttle body to FMIC piping, I dont see a need ot use a different throttle body tbh...

I dont see any problems with using a reducer though...

or just fill weld the current bolt holes and drill and tap new ones to fit the std throttle body, thats what I did cause I didnt want the hassles of having a larger different throttle body that Ive read so much about...
