cheers......what by melting the plastic with it and letting it stick together? bit reluctat to try incase i do f*** it up....

if the side skirts are made from ABS plastic ( or polypropelyne), all you need is to get some of the same type of plastic and cut it into thin strips, kinda like solder.

Then proceed to weld it together using a soldering iron and the plastic strips as a filler rod. Do a good enough job and reinforce it with some fiberglass bog, goos as a bought one.

There is a place out at Greenfields (they have a sign for plastic repairs) - you turn in off Port Wakefield Road .... not sure of their name though.

On a side note, when did you buy a 34GTR Mike?

where would i go about getting the filler poly..? i might have a sus of these guys at greenfields then- if its not a hard job hopeflly they can sort it out for me cheap rather than me make a mess of it whic could quiet likely happen...

JIS had a pair of sideskirts.. were after 250$ plus mark from memory......mmm thats about the price of 3 cartons of jacks...:P Cheers for the help

if you get it plastic welded , you will probably need it resprayed as by plastic welding there would be a line of where it was broken if you do one side, if you do both sides it will still need to be redone as it leaves leftover plastic and is not colour coded and needs to be sanded down to be all flush again.

Just my 5 cents worth on the topic.

Hey Andrew,

Yeah bought one about 2 months ago now. its been 3 years since i sold my 33. Too long.

Will have to catch up with everyone, organise a cruise

Yeah you should pay the $45 ($30 per annum and $15 once-off joining fee) and become an SAU:SA Club member Mike - we are having a Club dawn cruise and breakfast early in the New Year. Will be awesome, with tons of great cars in a nice relaxed group.

Nice purchase by the way! I have a black V35 coupe these days.
