Tough! Love how a set of rims can change the whole look of a car . Side on shot?

Cheers dude!

yeah a bit of low and some nice wheels can make any car look good!

Not yet, still not happy with the fitment, so I'll be sorting that out before I whore out some pictures :D

got my new digital HD tv tuner in today.

works awesome! had a few problems with placement. but ill hide it somewhere lol

big thanks to commsman (leon) for supplying it with instructions!

I'm glad that worked out for you Iain. I reckon they work awesome as well (especially for the money). I've seen the TV in a $150,000+ BMW 'limo' which didn't work as well as these ones.

What are your placement problems? Did you mount it in the cubby hole closest to the OEM one or try to be different?

Edited by Commsman

hahah i tried to be different and mount it on the BACK of the cubby hole. turns out the rear quarter likes being there instead.

i think im going to mount it behind the stock tuner. it will JUST slip in there if i arrange the wires properly.

anyway im gonna PM you a question mate.

Behind the panel, that's ambitious. I like it  .

Sometimes I wish I still had the use of my cubby hole, but then the tuner does look good when you take the cover off...

Question? Fire away.

picked car from tuners 2day with new engine made 420hp on only 10psi and bp98 goes back at end of week to be retuned on 109octane and about 30psi expecting to make 650hp+ heres a couple of pics:

F#$ken NICE!!!!....and F#$ken jealous!!!

Great work...but why not E85????

would have to go bigger injectors 1000cc wont be big enough and have spent enough money on it plus its only going to run on 109 while it does shows and dyno comps anyway so thats why didnt go the e85 plus got told have to change a few other things and didnt really see the need for the extra expenses

Fuel pump and injectors are a cheap upgrade, well worth the extra protection imo, but if you can run 109 when on high boost I guess it doesn't matter much. You would definitely need an industrial fuel system for e85 at that level.

I just ordered my fuel setup, im doing it once, ready for the 3.5 if it ever goes in. Twin walbro HP intanks, one line for each rail, all in -6 teflon lines. Not bloody cheap but should flow enough to max the ID1000's

installed the rear muffler from the nismo exhaust i have. now have a slight rumble to the car. had to wire open the valve tho lol

also installed a BOV with the bypass hole blocked up. car goes SO much better now. or maybe my old one was shit and leaking. also get a slight flutter and chirp when backing off. which im also ok with

I gave the Stag a service on the weekend:

New Oil (Penrite full Synthetic 10w-40)

Cleaned the intake filter. (Compressed air)

New Diff oil front and rear (Motul Gear 300 75w-90)

Replaced the air conditioner filter behind the glove box. (Easy and didn't break anything!)

My air conditioner filter was replaced at around 40K by Japan Nissan! My Car has a pretty good service history which is good!

ALSO.....

Where the battery is I found the other fuse box! While looking at the battery compartment, I noticed a pool of water under the battery tray.. Ripped the battery out and the battery tray and the rubber grommet (closest to the front guard) was full of mulch! So ripped it out (after dropping the damn thing through the hole and fishing it out through the wheel well) and cleaned it up. I also cleaned up the area as it was full of leaves and stuff. Tipped a whole bunch of water in there to clean it out, and then sprayed the whole area with CRC and put it all back together. Luckily no rust was in the area!

NOW I don't get a gurgling noise when I accelerate and the windscreen doesn't fog up!!! :D

Highly recommended!

Bled brakes and replaced pads on the weekend.

QFM HPX replaced the old A1RM's.

Wheels stay clean now :)

Nice!

But couldn't you fit a larger air filter in there? :P

decided to hunt for the spiders living in my car for maybe the past week..

pretty much gassed the whole car with mortein, left it for about half an hour

and cleaned and detailed the inside of the car...

hopefully no more cobwebs in the morning

now to get the mortein smell out

Had the 350z track rims put on today along with new ku31s from otr motorsport in Clayton. Paid a bit more then what I could get them for from tempe tyres but I guess I didn't have to deal with shipping and parallel import rubbers...

Looks a bit lame at the moment...needs moar lowwwwww

Hmm I have the spider issue also. My kids freaked out on the monash one day screaming about a spider walking around the roof.

Told them nothing I can do about it lol.

lol i wasnt gonna do anything about it until the bastard decided to dangle from my rear view and on to my hand..

then i thought "here we have a problem" jumped right out of the car.. lol

f**kn hate spiders

Done.

LOL...I don't mind...I just dont think they'll be as good value as a set of BC's!

I'm just worried that the front bar won't last long when lowered...look at the last pic! I won't be able to get away with that anymore!

    • When I need something else to edit, I use Movavi. A friend who does video editing on a daily basis recommended me) it's an easy video cutter to use for beginners

    • I think you're really missing the point. The spec is just the minimum spec that the fuel has to meet. The additive packages can, and do, go above that minimum if the fuel brand feels they need/want to. And so you get BP Ultimate or Shell Ultra (or whatever they call it) making promises to clean your engine better than the standard stuff....simply because they do actually put better additive packages in there. They do not waste special sauce on the plebian fuel if they can avoid it. I didn't say "energy density". I just said "density". That's right, the specific gravity (if you want to use a really shit old imperial description for mass per unit volume). The density being higher indicates a number of things, from reduces oxygen content, to increased numbers of double bonds or cyclic components. That then just happens to flow on to the calorific value on a volume basis being correspondingly higher. The calorific value on a mass basis barely changes, because almost all hydrocarbon materials have a very similar CV per kg. But whatever - the end result is that you do get a bit more energy per litre, which helps to offset some of the sting of the massive price bump over 91. I can go you one better than "I used to work at a fuel station". I had uni lecturers who worked at the Pt Stanvac refinery (at the time they were lecturing, as industry specialist lecturers) who were quite candid about the business. And granted, that was 30+ years ago, and you might note that I have stated above that I think the industry has since collected together near the bottom (quite like ISPs, when you think about it). Oh, did I mention that I am quite literally a combustion engineer? I'm designing (well, actually, trying to avoid designing and trying to make the junior engineer do it) a heavy fuel oil firing system for a cement plant in fricking Iraq, this week. Last week it was natural gas fired this-that. The week before it was LPG fired anode furnaces for a copper smelter (well, the burners for them, not the actual furnaces, which are just big dumb steel). I'm kinda all over fuels.
    • Well my freshly rebuilt RB25DET Neo went bang 1000kms in, completely fried big end bearing in cylinder 1 so bad my engine seized. No knocking or oil pressure issue prior to this happening, all happened within less than a second. Had Nitto oil pump, 8L baffled sump, head drain, oil restrictors, the lot put in to prevent me spinning a bearing like i did to need the rebuild. Mechanic that looked after the works has no idea what caused it. Reckoned it may have been bearing clearance wrong in cylinder 1 we have no idea. Machinist who did the work reckoned it was something on the mechanic. Anyway thats between them, i had no part in it, just paid the money Curiosity question, does the oil system on RB’s go sump > oil pump > filter > around engine? If so, if you had a leak on an oil filter relocation plate, say sump > oil pump > filter > LEAK > around engine would this cause a low oil pressure reading if the sensors was before the filter?   TIA
    • But I think you missed mine.. there is also nothing about the 98 spec that supports your claim..  according to the fuel standards, it can be identical to 95, just very slightly higher octane number. But the ulp vs pulp fuel regulations go show 95 (or 98), is not just 91 with some additives. any claim of ‘refined by the better refineries’ or ‘higher quality fuel’ is just hearsay.  I have never seen anything to back up such claims other than ‘my mate used to work for a fuel station’, or ‘drove a fuel delivery truck’, or ‘my mechanic says’.. the actual energy densities do slightly vary between the 3 grades of fuel, but the difference is very minor. That said, I am very happy to be proven wrong if anyone has some hard evidence..
