What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?

Yep, they were originally copied off some imported mats I think but they now curve around all the floor bulges and the drivers one has the hole for the clip.

The rear cargo didn't go up the back of the seat as they couldn't work out how to hold it there. I didn't want the metal clamps I have seen on the JDM mats so I left mine as only the floor.

Edit: I did tell them they could drape it over the top and have the headrest bars go through it, they could possibly do that if you wanted but I would have to go and get my car remeasured for you.

want me to take a photo of my boot mat ??? they have plastic tab's that fold into the back seat, not perfect but pretty good.

passenger side HID died last week, bought aftermarket replacement pair (8000K) for quite cheap, took an hour to fit both plus new LED parkers since i didn't have access to hydraulic jack & had to figure out how many clips/screws i had to take off the plastic guard...

would like 5000K but seller only has 8000K for now

next to do: paint rear spoiler, fit new phillips 80+ bulbs for the fog/high beam & fit new spoiler once painted

While fitting the V35 mid pipe today I discovered the typical M35 cam cover leak. Must have just started as wasn't there last month.

Is it very bad? I discovered a few drips on some bolts when I was changing the turbo & ordered a gasket. But now that I'm driving it again it doesn't look too bad so may put it off for a while.

Any chance you have the part number handy?

Cheers

Sure, 13270AL612 Passenger side cover gasket & 13270AQ800 – Driver side cover gasket.

I only bought the passenger side & it was $28 but can't see why they would be different prices unless 'supply & demand' rules apply. I've heard they can be bought for as low as $25 - i wasn't going to quibble over 3 bucks.

While fitting the V35 mid pipe today

And how is the mid pipe

No problems clearing that centre body brace by the transmission tunnel? Mine still clonks occasionally, must get underneath the car and loosen, wiggle and tighten some time...

It fit up easily and only had to reshape the heat shield around the tail shaft a little by hand. No knocks or noises. Exhaust note is a little nicer now as I can actually hear a nice little burble but still very quiet when on cruise. Power wise I have noticed a slight increase but not huge, as to be expected. Still need to change the front pipe to a 3" with high flow cat.

I was able to sell the rear muffler from the v35 for $25 so that's dropped the cost of the mid pipe to only $75! So good cheap upgrade.

Oh and the m35 mid pipe is bloody heavy compared to the v35.

Just a quick update on the v35 mid pipe upgrade I did. A bit of good luck for me. I payed $100 for the complete exh comprising of exh manifolds to rear muffler. Fitted the mid pipe to my m35, sold the rear muffler for $25, took both the cat converter sections to recycle yard and got $120 for the pair and then $2 for the rest of the exhaust for scrap metal.

So after all that my mid pipe was free and gained $47 on the deal.

Best bang for buck mod I've done yet!!!

    • I'll snap up some photos when I'm back home, in the office today meeting my "in the office" quota. Have 2x Teams calls scheduled in, office culture they reckon.   I've never owned a proper off the shelf sub, I've always made or modified broken ones with Jaycar plate amps and/or car subwoofer drivers. The current (and broken) subwoofer has a proper home driver in it, Dayton driver, thos one https://www.daytonaudio.com/product/118/rss265hf-4-10-reference-hf-subwoofer-4-ohm FS of 25Hz, which is low but not low enough. Yeah, I think they were brought out to the market to compete with SVS. I would love a SVS PB-3000 but they're not cheap, especially after their price hike. From reviews online, it does look like the Tonewinner D6000 would destroy and with good amount of money saved too.
    • yeah, that happens too.  I'm really enjoying 4WDing at the moment, seen a few beautiful spots and want to go explore more of this enormous country.  The 370Z got a clutch LSD in it and a track day, great fun.  Getting the back end sorted out really rejuvenated my enthusiasm for driving it hard, the viscous one is poo especially in such a short and wide chassis.  The VLSD unpredictability was more benign in a long and skinny Skyline.
    • With my pre/power I use a remote trigger cable(3.5mm jack each end). I turn tv on, it turns both on via ARC. Or, just the pre with the remote or its streaming software, turns on both. Not that difficult at all. Obviously,  you would also want to actually update/upgrade over other factors in your life(bills, family, other hobbies, etc)
    • Yeah, nightfall was very "meh". And I'm crap at pvp, so feels like everyone has cheats(it's just my lack of skill). Final shape has been pretty good. New raid and dungeon are pretty good. If you want to give it a go, probably wait until it's on sale. But, as usual, most of it feels very familiar.
    • This morning was Kingswood's Microscopic Wars. It is the album's 10 year anniversary this year and we went to see them play the whole album as a special show a couple of months back. Was pretty spectacular.
