quick question guys, previously i have gotten mechanics to do the oil changes on my car as its been in there anyway but i'm gonna do this one by myself. What i would like to know is where to get the crush washer for the sump plug from. Will they have a suitable one at supercheap or is it a genuine nissan design that only they sell at rediculous prices??

It should be a 12mm copper washer. Worth less than $1

I don't normally replace the washer every time, in fact; the current one has been on the sump plug for at least 5 changes.

Another big day in the shed, finally working on my car !

Rack bushes, front upper control arm now has adjustable bushes, as do the castor rods

Just need to get a proper alignment done now

Oh, and also found out that I have eibach springs with my impul super shocks

Neither of which I can find info for

http://performance-suspension.eibach.com/performance_suspension/performance_springs

Just installed slotted discs and some qfc HPX pads.

Also replaced the left front bearing that has been making a bit of noise. And due to. A brittle f2f boot ended up doing one of those. Ended up costing a bit more then I first intended, but I'm happy it's all done

what info? eibach are pretty much the best motorsport springs you can get, the spring rate will be printed on them

I'll go get the code off them but I couldn't see a spring rate anywhere

Might have to remove more dust/dirt lol

Also, to subtract from the win

I also found out that both inner cv boots are split on the front :-(

What's the going rate on someone else to do it? My tools are mostly in Tasmania and I'm up in qld for another 6 weeks

Its a cr*p job well worth paying someone - consider getting the cvs done while its apart.

New windscreen fitted after multiple chips in field of vision.

Annoyingly I mainly dropped it off to get the front windows tinted, after I got in trouble for too many darknesses was added last time.

I only avoided a yellow sticker through smooth talking and bold faced lies with the 16% it had on.

I took it back to the same place that talked me in to going dark to match the rears and told the lady up front i wanted legal tint and a new windscreen...

The guy out the back then took it upon himself to try and match the rear windows again.

Had to sit and wait while they peeled it off again and my arm is still getting sunburnt as they didnt have time to put what i wanted on....

At least the windscreen has been done.

Tried to install Scotty Dump Pipe without a hoist.......FAIL

Do you have ramps? I've changed my dump & turbo (twice) with the car on ramps & axle stands at the back.

However, I do need hardwood planks (old stair treads) to get the car onto the ramps because they 'ramp' up too steep & the front bar will hit.

good luck with that its a fun job!!! try and get the O2 sensor off so you can get to the bolt behind it otherwise get a special ball joint cuppler for the socket not the yoke type cos it'll just bind up..........

Well unfortunately for me I managed to cook my S1 over the weekend. Not liking the look of auto box + awd system but will give me opppurtinity to strip down a motor and learn internals.
