Welcome, looks good.

Finally got the silver wagon back on the road, I had to suffer the shame of taking it to a mechanic to do some minor work as there's nowhere flat around here to jack up a car. I doubled down on the indignity by taking the black one in for oil and brake pads too. Never mind, both are back in A+ shape.

I have some (possibly) news for PNM35 owners:

370Z Y-pipes are a bolt-in fit on PNM35s. 370Z cats do not fit due to stud offset.

Info was gleaned from my quietly--spoken mechanic in a noisy workshop so don't sue me if there's a little bit of mucking around with the Y-pipe mounting, but judging by the labour charge on the bill it was straight forward. He was definite about the cats not fitting though.

Sadly no noticeable change to performance or exhaust note other than the tinny rattling from the old Y-pipe being gone. The shields and flexis on the old one were mostly rotted away..

My feeling is that the 370Z and V36 Y-pipes are probably the same, I haven't gone hunting for part numbers.

today I finally got a new coilover installed. the only thing that you get is Bc Racing.

Price is cheap only 770€

the last adjustment to be made after 500-1000 km

Done a bit to my stagea in the last couple of weeks, got some LED headlights, which are bloody awesome. They were just some from ebay for about $30 or something NZD.

They literally light up EVERYTHING... especially sign posts from 100m way lol.

I also picked up a series 2 exhaust (there is a length difference between the S1 and S2 exhaust) the main reason I got this exhaust was to smash out the cat for more pop pop :P.
But...

As you can see the cats already been smashed out.. saves me time! I installed the exhaust and it sounds pretty damn good, the S2 exhaust did have a bigger centre muffler too which was nice, interested to see whether there is a difference in sound between the S1 and S2 though. Before I got this exhaust my rear muffler stuck out a little bit which looked ugly, and now it sits further back, but now the hangers are weird so I'll need to get them re-done at some point.

I also managed to get my hands on a rear lip which im bloody stoked about.

I did run into a issue with the towbar, which I knew I would but I was kinda hoping I could just get away with it (which I kinda did) Installing the passenger side part was easy as and I only screwed it in at the bottom mounts and ends, I didn't bother with drilling the ones to attach it in the middle or whatever lol.

I used some brute force a couple of days later and got the other half on.. which also cracked it more...

You can kinda tell from those photos that its a little squished where the tow bar is but im fine with that and supports it in there quite well. Extremely happy with it though. I'm not sure whether I'll paint or or leave it as is, it's almost making me consider getting silver side skirts and a silver front lip just to go with the flow lol.

Last thing i've done over the last couple of days is black out my headlights. I'd never done anything like this before so the first headlight was a bit of a struggle to open, but then the second took me about 10 minutes. IMG_1346.thumb.JPG.752aab57ca804f7c107bfbd2fc3857fb.JPGIMG_1347.thumb.JPG.89627bb8667a6677046cf2929de881a8.JPGIMG_1349.thumb.JPG.a73884fa722056b3ee54384bfb410175.JPGIMG_1344.thumb.JPG.1531cec69073811f514c1fc649a6e758.JPGIMG_1352.thumb.JPG.a791cf2a0fb9d5095d59eb327bd8fcaf.JPGIMG_1354.thumb.JPG.9f1c6886f0a0272339e40e66677f6e97.JPGIMG_1357.thumb.JPG.6fed3f4bb86324256be2a81a00a972c2.JPGIMG_1359.thumb.JPG.4d9bfcd8b51e8315d9999a293c2f5617.JPG

Pretty happy with the end results too.. I did buy another set of headlights to do this on as I wouldn't trust myself doing it on my only headlights lol.

I see everyone's blacking out their headlights.
Looks good but I'd prefer a pair of the split headlights on S2 M35's.
Reasonably cheap too, shouldn't be too much in shipping...

Agree, nice to see another M35 going in for a facelift.
Which bumper are you going with?

I have facelift lights waiting for install.

Just have to make little mods and black out :)

Wait, is that even possible? Have i missed out on something?
I'm sick of the dull looking nm35 headlight.
Need lights, bumper, grill, bonnet.
It all bolts in.

I put an Axis S front on my old 250t years ago.

Finally got around to swapping out the suspension, bushes and ball joints. BC BR's are great for the money by the way. Haven't adjusted the height yet, sitting about 20mm too high in the front.... Or too low in the back, haven't decided yet. Want to check if I still scrape on speedbumps with the 3" nismo exhaust on, next project after buying a front pipe and dump.

Also installed a turbosmart kompact BOV and HDI front mount over the weekend and took the shitty paint work off the grill, who paints a chrome panel without putting in some prep work, really? I think it looks mint! Although I had to ditch the Cibbies from the front bar as they fouled on the piping :( Might have to find LED replacements. Gotta admit I do like seeing the piping through the holes though.

Does anyone know the temp trigger for the condenser fan? I've tested that the fan works, but at idle I don't think my car gets hot enough to trigger it (~85C). Is there any way of testing it? I've been sitting in traffic and seen coolant temps of 94C but I can't just pop the bonnet and jump out to check haha.

Managed to score a Fujitsubo Legalis R catback from a wrecker on the cheap and put it on my PM35 this morning.... IT IS LOUD!

I knew it was designed for a turbo engine, but damn it is loud on the NA engine. Will have to add a large resonator me thinks...
At least for now I can hoon around sounding like a monster truck.

Might upload a vid to youtube because there isn't much audio out there of this setup, or any at all.
