there will be a post lol

maybe ill ebay it. not sure yet!

is it just me or after the shift kit install, the transmission appears to 'slip' less even on take off? im guessing this may assist with fuel economy

Spot on Iain, I'm sure I can feel the same thing.

Dunno about the economy; I'm still not bored with the punch it delivers, maybe next year.

Changed the gearbox yesterday.......but it seems that my timing gremlin has returned!!!!!.... F#<king Car starts and idles but won't rev past 2k without stalling with backfire.

Gearbox did work well for the one drive it worked for.

you have to admit it sounds good when it backfires. like a rally car! lol

its probably a wiring issue, the other engine loom is at my place, i rekon we cut off the rear section as it goes to the gearbox, and put the old one on there.

i just had a thought, check the plugs to make sure the pins arent being pushed out of the plus when they are connected.

if we had a working torch we might have seen something that wasnt right

If he keeps buying all the 'awesome' before anyone else gets it, then he can be the gatekeeper! :worship:

Slow down grasshopper. With the option you are looking at, there is absolutely no need nor reason for "awesome"

How are things progressing with your FCon Cam? Have you had a tune done or is it just inline running a base map?

True, but that isn't going as well as I'd like, so easy solutions are always good. Never mind, I'll be patient!

It was running a slightly modified base map, response was impressive but the economy was not so desirable.

Needs a tune, soon...

Cool; I'll be interested to see how it goes, you've got all the supporting mods to make the most of it.

Made plans to start a big couple of weekends this weekend...

Plan is to fit coilovers and possibly brakes before heading to the local brewery for the AFL Grand Final.

Then Sunday/Monday fit brakes if necessary and the HDi Intercooler (assuming it arrives in time).

Haven't even fit everything that's sitting in the shed and I'm already planning the next major project: speakers!

As of the weekend the speakers on the left hand side seem to be shot, with some kind of weird hissing going on. So I've started searching around for some audio info, and there's a surprising amount on the M35 audio here.

Thinking 6.5 splits in the front, 6" 2 ways in the back, 4ch amp and possibly a sub under the rear floor.

I now have SA rego. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. Time to figure out how to get a refund from RTA Victoria.

I was thinking you could fit a sub behind the rear left "wall". Don't get me wrong, I know stuff all about this stereo gear, but it would be nice to hide the sub.

I couldn't work out NSW, never bothered.

I was thinking something like this for the sub: http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/25/131/201/TS-WX610A/index.html

That way it's all hidden and I still have my boot!

That's a similar solution to the OEM BOSE sub; not terribly priced either, once you take into account amp is included, and no need to build an enclosure.

I was really keen on that sort of solution but warned away from them pretty quickly - apparently they provide very little bass. Anyone with the stock Bose unit care to comment?

i found them to but yeah heard they are pretty shite, i also looked at this

http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/25/131/201/TS-WX77A/index.html

but apparently they're not much chop in something as big as a wagon for good sound, alrite in utes and stuff or if not really planning on playing loud/ want good quality

and they are too long to fit across the back of the 60 split rear seat :(

Hmmm, my LOLvo mysteriously just died on the way home from a friend's on Saturday night. Coudln't get a flatbed tow truck on short notice (around 9.15pm on a wet night, so retards who can't drive were having accidents because some water fell from the sky :domokun: ), so I ended up flat-towing it back to my friend's.

Anyway, Sunday come around and my mate goes to check the car - it starts and runs. He organises a towie through a mate, and when the truck gets there it runs again and he dirves it onto the truck. Car arrives at my place, and I then proceed to drive it off the truck and into the garage. Tried it again in the arvo today, and it started and ran again. Weird...

Tomorrow the old man and I will try and figure out if it will start again, and see if we can source the problem. Regardless, I'm gonna be paranoid to drive it on the cruise on Sunday in case it breaks down a long way from home. :(

Has anyone pulled up parts 84907 and 84906P before? Click for image.

Think there would be enough room to fit a sub like this under there?

The thread I was looking at yesterday said there was a cross brace in the way, but it could be possible?

Apparently the Bose amps fit under the toolkit, so I'm hoping normal aftermarket ones do too.
