Yes, it will last 10,000kms for sure

5000km changes? Bullshit.

10,000km with a Group V oil is no problem... unless you are tracking it.

yes well from the troubles i been having lately, im not being a penny pincher and am doing it every 5000km.

i agree with 10k services. 5000km is overkill for a street driven car

really?

why are all the performance shops saying every 5-7000kms a service should be done especially being a turbo charged vehicle?

fact that im going for a tune on wednesday change anything? or ...

because people pay over $200 per oil change at a performance shop.

do an oil change before the tune

no but this is a performance shop knowing that I'dd do it myself..

yeh theres no oil in the car.. once the turbo goes on im doing a flush, then putting some new oil in, then driving that up to get some Sougi 6000 or whatever it is.. n changing it the night before :) sounds right?

AFAIK Sougi 6000 is gone...well Birds doesn't sell em anymore. Are u leeching off Scotty's stash? :teehee:

If Chrono 300V is 120 per change then I might as well do that...considering I'm paying $80 for Mobil 1 which needs to be changed every 5k...

And the fact that most performance workshops use a generic oil.

At best you can expect Mobil 1 (which certainly isn't bad, but it is no Group V oil)

so im guessing theyd be under the impression im using mobil or equivelent?

makes sense now. would it make a difference for when/after i tune? or is it dependant on how heavy my foot is...

its because workshops live on services, its their bread and butter. no offence intended to any workshop, but if you convince people they need a service every 5000km, they probably will

when JDM S15s came on the market, the dealers (import dealers) were saying they need 5000km services because they are imports. tell me why the same car was sold locally and needed 10000km oil changes?

wasnt this a completely different tune to the ones that were sold here?

but whats your saying does make sense.. but will my circumstance change after the tune??

no but its good to have fresh oil in there when they rev the shit out of your car for a few hours :)

however, if you have to change plugs, do it after the tune as they will probably be fouled and you dont want to do that to a fresh set of plugs

lol too late i've already changed then about 50km before the turbo died.. so they're new.. Cihan advised to change em prior

yeh i know aboout the revving... not sure if i wanna witness this lol

Same here. He mentioned its so he doesn't have to hunt down a fouled plug during the tuning process...

yeh. although my plugs in the car were pretty new, they were changed on complianced which im told is rare..

good!

i guess he needs a driveline upgrade soon lol

yeh so i heard, which is why mines getting a shift kit installed on monday.

exact words from the RVO guy. "i'm going to up the line pressure as much as possible without breaking shit"

hahahaha.. good enough for me..
