wait till you decide to take the starter motor out.......if it's anything like the BNR32 its a BITTTTCCCCCHHH!

surprising, when removing my gearbox i didn't have any problems with it, my mates r33 doesn't have one of the bolt in cause he had problems, I managed to get it off and on with no problems maybe 5 - 10 mins each way

flathead screwdriver smashed through the filter with a hammer. WIN

there is seriously not enough room to even try that, I had a cut down screw driver i Just couldnt get in

this is all you should need

1x 10mm socket

1x extension

1x rachet

1x oil filter socket

scottsstagea010_zps50289353.jpg

I should have put one of the K and N filters with the nut on the end!

Also couldn't do my diff oil, seems at night I didn't check which out of the 3 containers all 2.5 litres i picked up, I put the diff oil in the gearbox! hence why it was so smooth, gears change are beautiful, and car took a complete flogging from the weekend when I competed in the 2013 REJEX Rally which was great, down side is I need 4 new tyres :(

What about plasti-dip?

Finally finished off my trip strips

d3b0f40c-41e2-461b-88c0-28d61af95c96_zps

And fixed my boost gauge with teflon tape (no pics tho)

Might also fix the split cv boots soon, and give it a service with synx-6000 :D

Did the same thing to my body mould chrome strips a couple of months back, my car is white with black rims also.

The faux chrome in my body moulds has been patchy and rough since I bought the car.

I bodge jobbed the black out though, I have used insulation tape trimmed to fit as I wasnt sure if I would like it and wanted an easy undo.

Once the first bit of tape peels back at an edge I'll look into this plasti dip bandwagon.

Just resprayed my grille black again this week as stone chips were making the chrome poke back out...

Only chrome left now is the tail light in-fills but I think they can stay.

Ill get some photos when I get it out tomorrow.

Well im now the proud owner of an RS4 factory manual and very happy.

time to start the big clean up before i get down to making it how i like it.

better look after is as it has a confirmed 74000km on the clock and almost no mods appart from a dump back exhaust and cheap mags.

front needs some love, fading lights with condensation annoys the absolute hell out of me, almost as much as having a dirty windscreen.

got the elbow grease out and threw in some 6000k philips xennons. gonna start replacing everything with LEDs as per usual. love the led look.

still undecided as for what to do with the yellow foggies.....more pondering needed.

so much better looking when they're actually clear.

I feel your pain about the interior my 260rs was a kiddy car and had s#*t all through the back seat when I got it,gave it a good steem clean now looks new again. Wow good job on the head lights that's a huge diffrence! And last but not least nice ride

I finally figured out how to remove the cargo blind. Ph34r my detective skills.

Yes, I also found out where to store it under the boot floor. This car is brilliant.

I started installing my front mount yesterday. didnt have to cut the reo to much so im happy about that. its an r33 turn flow and nearly bolted straight up so was pretty easy

first spin i took it for i forgot to tighten one of the pipes so car kept stalling and limped it back home, works all good now just have to cut the front bar and splash trays to fit.

also looks like it has hit a tow ball or something. :O

My car has a similar problem (seats look like your driver side). Interested in what cleaner you used?

I've some cheaper generic fabric cleaners i've used for my couch by seem painful to work in and clean...

Hire a steam cleaner from woolworths.

Have done this every time I have bought a new (used) car. It will blow your mind how much dirt comes out of even a 3 year old car.

Eg. This was from a the seats of a 2009 model car. attachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1376287937.297508.jpg

+1 I even use the same Steam cleaner haha

Fitted a jjr front mount kit to the c34. Ended up cutting the end of tr rails rather then then reo. Really didn't want to do it but hey... Also had to remove the ac can as its massive! If I have problems I will get a slim fan to replace it.

Then fitted a stainless jj bell mouth dump pipe along with a high flow cat. Much less drone with the cat (gutted one before)

Next up is a muffler and 3inch for the test of the system to some twin pipes. Then nistune!

Agreed on woolworths cleaners. Did the same for my stag and the wife's 100. You also find many things under the carpet like $20 and a bottle of vodka haha

What would happen if I was to remove the dvd navi permanently from the circuit. Eg thinking of relocating headunit here.

and hand would pop out from behind the dash and bi*ch slap you!

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
