joshm35
Finally got my AMPerformance intake fitted, straight away noticed the extra flow. Throttle more sensitive down low, less throttle needed to get the car rolling. Haven't tested high rpm yet. Thanks to Craig for fitting it, wasn't easy. PITA to install. Money well earnt for Craig Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348629-what-have-you-done-to-your-stagea-lately/page/433/#findComment-7697714 Share on other sites

I have a AM Performance Intake sitting in my garage and from what i have read they will max out injectors if it isn't tuned right. Will be interesting to see your results, what other mods have you done on your car Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348629-what-have-you-done-to-your-stagea-lately/page/433/#findComment-7697897 Share on other sites
DrLui
As most of you know, 7 weeks ago my car was stolen and written off. It has been a stressful and frustrating time, to have your car stolen from your driveway while your home is a felling I cannot describe. I have tried to put it behind me and turn my negative into a positive, I tracked down another Stagea, while salvaging my old wreck. Got it through roadworthy and now it is registered in my name It has been a roller coaster ride that I don't want anyone to have to go through. Now looking for the future The Last pic of my Old Stag At the salvage yard Picking up my new Stagea from Sydney At Vicroads registering it in my name New Stagea is in my name Edited March 14, 2016 by DrLui 8 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348629-what-have-you-done-to-your-stagea-lately/page/433/#findComment-7697933 Share on other sites

Car has ATP high flow, 100 cell cat, Scottys dump and Legalis R straight through. Goes pretty hard. Once fuel pump is done I'll get it all checked on the dyno. Way to go Luis with your new wagon. Its amazing what you car 'read'Your not wrong there, but reading through the comments bellow http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/414739-m35-am-performance-intake/page-2 I would rather wait until I have a tuneable ecu before installing it, it's not worth the risk imo. The standard intake works fine for what I have now 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348629-what-have-you-done-to-your-stagea-lately/page/433/#findComment-7698308 Share on other sites
Hertz Donut
Can anyone confirm if the V36 Y-pipe is a bolt-in affair with the rest of the PNM35 exhaust? scotty nm35
Can anyone confirm if the V36 Y-pipe is a bolt-in affair with the rest of the PNM35 exhaust? I doubt anything V36 is bolt on. The flanges on the Y pipe were supposed to be in the same spot, but they are not. I have a set of V36 headers here, they would be a great upgrade over the stock log manifolds. Custom cat pipes are required though. Hertz Donut
Bugger. Off to Yahoo Japan auctions then. I only need a Y-pipe at the moment, the outer wall on mine's rusted and the tinny rattling noise is driving me nuts. I have a set of V36 headers here, they would be a great upgrade over the stock log manifolds. Custom cat pipes are required though. I am not sure it would be accurate if you are basing it off my install. The reason being that we first tested it on my PNM35 with V36 headers and aftermarket Z34 de-cat pipes which didn't marry up with the OEM V36 cat-back on my car. Then the V35 Berk HFC's were modified and made to fit. I reckon that the V35 and V36 y-pipes would be interchangeable if using the OEM headers and cats. I did have the V36 y-pipe and exhaust on my PNM35 with OEM headers and V35/G35 Berk cats. After the y-pipe? Can't be sure, but since the V36 y-pipe bolts up to PNM35 cats, I would be surprised if it didn't fit the rear section as well. Bugger. Off to Yahoo Japan auctions then. I only need a Y-pipe at the moment, the outer wall on mine's rusted and the tinny rattling noise is driving me nuts. Do you have access to a cheap V36 y-pipe? If so, why not give it a go? If not, you could just get a cheap stainless V35/G35 Y-pipe off ebay or maybe an OEM unit from a wrecker? Hertz Donut
I don't have one, no. Unfortunately where I live I can find anything I want for my Commodore, but talk about V/M-series Nissans and everyone thinks you're some kind of weirdo. I've found a V36 pipe in Hamilton (http://www.partsworld.co.nz/parts/nissan/skyline/3312_v36/67_engine+components/270111510) so I might send them an email and get some measurements. No doubt they'll charge a ludicrous amount for it. zelda
Soo finally got scottys dump in, what a great bit of fab work, definately reccomended. Changed the fuel pump/filter/oring in the hopes it would clear my lean code ( 0171 ) sadly it hasnt but still yet to run a constant supply, maybe that will do it. And picked up a set of r34 gtt front brakes to keep me busy for the long weekend! Brick
So not a cheap week for my stagea but damn it's good to drive now. Got bad fuel so took it into work to have the mechanics drain it and also do a service cause I was feeling lazy. A week later and many many $$$$ later the car has had the following done, some needed some preventative. Found and fixed a small boost leak 2 front wheel bearings Steering rack rebuild New control arm bushes New diff bushes New sub frame bushes Spark plugs New compression rod bushes Also found a faulty cool pack. Plus a few other bits. Now it is all done and wheel aligned just in time for double demerit points so it has been parked away for the weekend haha. 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348629-what-have-you-done-to-your-stagea-lately/page/433/#findComment-7702163 Share on other sites

Looking at getting all mine done to. Did you run with OEM ones or superpro or the like? Will feel amazing to drive now mate I bet.
