Yeah agree, but it was just timing, nothing complex! Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Off to buy an Emanage then... any suggestions where?

Is there anyone in SA who can tune an Emanage?

The place where I got it from (ebay store) was located in Japan, I'm pretty sure I got the EMU + harness for around $600/650 delivered.

Unfortunately they were affected by the Tsunami and they don't seem to sell EMU's anymore...

Love ebay sometimes.

Emanage Ultimate: http://cgi.ebay.com....e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Universal Harness: http://cgi.ebay.com....=item588275acd9

MAP Sensor: http://cgi.ebay.com....=item27b7e1a13d

(Did see this cheaper sensor, but looks dodgy as! http://cgi.ebay.com....=item230fca0ec0)

Think thats it for an Emanage install?

Oh, and Informeter: http://cgi.ebay.com....e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Sounds like it might be a useful acquisition?

dont get the dodgy ones. if they arent an accurate reading, your fuel map can go right out..

Informeters a good doo hicky..although its not really important. you can get another boost sensor and wideband into it. it will tell you your water/intake temp.. throttle % speed RPm.. but the injector duty sycle n some other stuff will be incorrect as a tune will change figures.

they only had two ECU'I bought one, then you bought one.. i tried messaging him about the profec B, but paypal sent me money back. i think his shop was destroyed in the tsunami. poor guy!

map sensor is needed the way i see it. its the safest way as your Tuner isn't simply guessing. hes calculating figures!

when you look for injectors, ask for the plugs. you will need to cut the stock connectors off and solder the new ones on. I'm using Seimens Deka 610CC and im about 80% duty with e85. work fine and dont miss a beat. they are a 4 squirter!

A wide band will help for road tuning, but the dyno should have one for the dyno....i guess if you want one..

i pulled my turbo out again, to open the wastegate up.

took me 2 n abit hours.. proud much??

opened up the wastegate. put everything back together. and no change. what a waste of a day.. looks like the actuator may be playing up :(

woe is me.sad.gif

What was the car doing that made you think something was going on with the wastegate?

I ordered an Informeter. That way I don't have to guess whats going on and worry unnecessarily.

Probably do FMIC next. Still deciding whether to do fuel system before emanage or vice versa. Coming along nicely!

You'll have to come by and do mine soon Aaron :P

lol i told scott that you needed this done.. he laughed hahah

its over boosting. would hold 15psi through to about 4500rpm and then shoot up to 22psi. felt as if the Wastegate was too small and as the exhaust air flow increases it cant push any more through the gate and comes out the fan again, only to continue boosting. I opened up the wastegate as much as i could. and no change.. looks like the actuator isnt allowing the gate to open enough...

lol if anything the informeter will make you worry more when you start seeing figures.. trust me, its why Craig got rid of his lol

Got it back from panel and paint... All new again.. Insurance company sent me a brand new wheel instead of repairing old one and bruce from mag and turbo gave me a tire to use till I save up for a new set! LEgend!

So today I pick up and fitted a black bonnet, was easy enough to change over just not to sure if its what I want anymore. Maybe after a few weeks I'll decide if I'm gonna keep it on or change it back.

What you think?

yeah was thinking roof, mirrors and the little bit behind the rear side windows need more black.

Then maybe I'll change the chrome stripping to black, then black out the headlights and foggies, tint the rear lights hmmm where to stop?
