1J and 2 J's are a proven engine. VQ's are only in the early stage's being a new engine. Sorry that was my toyota side. Split personallity there guys.It will be interesting to see how the VQ30 powered 300zx will go at this years time attack in sydney. should be a great event again. Ok back to topic. I guess ive only put my stagea into the gearbox place to get the slipping box fixed. Bring on the warrenty repairs.

Just purchased a new front diff!!!! 3.538 ratio ftw!!!! Just gotta find a rear now....should make it punch out of the hole even better

3.54 appears to be the standard ratio for your cars. Have you bought a different one or is your car not currently 3.54 final drive?

OK looks like n/a had 3.54 and turbos 3.13

Let me know if you have trouble finding a rear diff as the majority of NM35s in this country are n/a and I'm sure I could find you one if you want.

Did you buy it from an SAU merchant? Did they replace it at no cost?

thanks for the offer on that.....but I will be chasing 3.538's with LSD and I am pretty sure that the only Stagea that came with a 3.538 LSD was the PM35 AR-X!....If you find one of those that's wrecking it would be great......the 350Z MT and V35 MT both have the diff I need so hopefully I should be able to trip over one soon.

I am hoping this will ratio change will give the gearbox a little less of a hard time.....and also give me some more mumbo all around.

nup....not needed.....lsd in the front promotes understeer....for the drags its fine.

I got my car back!

Exhaust and dump have transformed it. More low end pull, spools up faster, absolutely hammers. Looks the goods too with twin 3" titanium outlets.

Only issue at the moment is its too bloody loud! But we will fix that shortly.

Hooked up the informeter, pleasantly surprised it just works.

Will get some exhaust pics when I get home from work (and we have some daylight). Then in goes the Nismo dash, and a proper mounting spot for the Informeter.

you shouldve gone a Jazma cat back system from Jap and had your exhasut shop make up a dump/front pipe.

mine is 80mm straight through from the turbo to tip. and its still really quiet.(FWIW) .. lol you can actually see from one end of my exhaust to the other lol.

there is so much sound deadening under the seats and in the boot, im not surprised a straight pipe exhaust is bearable inside the car

even cam's noticed it and Cam's picky with this stuff, but he even said.. for a straight through its fairly quiet.

sounds nice on full throttle as well.
