News just filtering thru that Brad & his wife have a new addition to the family, a son. Congratulations mate  . Maybe a picture of him in the new carseat in the M35 will fit nicely into this thread...

Guess that means my alarm isn't getting sorted for a week or two! Damn priorities! :P

Congrats to Brad and his wife!

Glenn and his wife also had their baby a week or so ago, a little girl called Brooke.

Anyone else due?

I think I'm going to sell the Stag before my partner gets pregnant...

Well done buddy!

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the details - my wife can rest easy now, unlike yours LOL. Just under 8lbs in the old money :O . Nice work mum.

congrats!!!, speaking of newborns my baby girl is about 4 weeks old, 51cm and 3.915kg (8 lb 1 oz) at birth.

wanted a skyline but heard the baby news and changed the search from skyline to stagea haha.

So today I got my car back on the road.....

It started with the purchase of a legalis exhaust I found on EBay. Fitted up perfectly and sounded great but then there was a fair bit of turbo whine...

I decided that I wanted a full exhaust system so I got Scott down in Melbourne to make me up a dump pipe. Before I fitted it though, it seemed pointless to pay for a new front pipe and high flow cat if the turbo was about to crap itself and spit the ceramic blades into it.

So off came the turbo (I got a quote from a place in Brisbane for remove, rebuild and refit for $4200............so I removed it my self, with some guidance from Craig (jetwreck) and precision turbos in Sydney high flowed it for around $1300!)

While turbo was off, I thought I might as well change the intercooler to the HDI kit. Cameron (iamhe77) got me a great deal and as he also had the plenum spacer kit, I got that as well.

This led to two catch cans so my new shiny intake didn't get covered in oil.

Finally I was a bit concerned that the injectors might be near their limit so I put an order in with Andy (andy65b) for an informeter to keep an eye on things.

End result......

Foot down, bit of lag, holy crap this thing is fast! It now absolutely rips.

Thankfully though I bought the informeter. With boost set at the previous level, at 60% throttle it hit 16 psi and the injectors hit 99%.......

A liitle too close for my liking.

So now back down to 14psi and injectors are at 90% which still gives awesome acceleration!

As a side note, there was a bit of a rattle under the car after I picked the car up from the exhaust shop. I assumed the new front pipe was hitting the body but when I checked, it turned out to be the hanger for the tail shaft was extremely loose. The nuts had worked themselves almost off and the shaft was able to move all over the place. I'd recommend checking yours as it would have been a little nasty if it had come loose.....

.....and we're expecting a little boy in September......

Thought I'd get in on the action:

Brooke Leigh

8/6/2011

7.3lb

49.5cm

Wow, babies everywhere. Stageas are great for carting the kids around. I wonder how many were conceived in the back, or is that practice too outdated for our modern times lol.

Hey Glenn, I see you are also in Adelaide. Maybe Brook & Levi will hook up in years to come :whistling: (Glenn heads out to buy shot gun).

Very cute baby BTW. Congrats to everyone with new additions!

Fun Fact:

Brooke and Levi's first child will be born at the same hospital :nyaanyaa:

On an unrelated topic...

Nice work Steve! Sounds like a busy couple of weeks! Bet it's worth it!

What did you hook the catch cans up to? One on the intake sure, but what's the other connected to? And more importantly, where did you mount them?

There are breathes on both sides of the block.

1) drivers side; PCV valve is towards the front of the drivers rocker cover.

2) passenger side: comes off the back of the rocker cover near the fire wall.

Not a lot of room for the passenger side one.

Glad to here the results are good. :)

congrats to all the new parents. hope to see your bundles of joy at the next stagea cruise.

In other news..... I had my Shift kit installed today, full trans service and flush, and attesa flush and bleed.

The car shifts sooo much better now, especially at low speeds. and at higher rpm with tiptronic on, it actually shifts when you press the button,

instead of waiting for a few seconds(normally resulting in limiter bash and flames)
