Hey all, my name's Dave Watson (I already know a fair few members)

I've been here for awhile under the user-name "N/A Guy" but I doubt anyone has ever known me by that name haha

So anyway, I've just picked up a 1993 R32 GTR off of my uncle for a stupidly cheap price (Family discounts are awesome)

I'm sure I'll have heaps of questions for you all in the coming months/years etc.

But for now, Hiya! And here's a photo of my new toy fresh off the trailer from Byron Bay :-D

Edit: First question :-P

Need some suggestions on tyres for stock GTR Rims, they've got 225/50/16 at the moment and I love the look...so preferably the same measurements :-D

yeah 32 gtr are the way too go.. i miss mine :"( but yeah i was running 245/40 stretched on 18x10 +18 XD9's.. if you can get a set they look sweet on a gtr.. otherwise if your just looking for a good trye brand go for TOYO(my first preference T1R/R1R) or Federal (everyone seems use them Ku31/Ku36).. but remember tyres are probably the most important performance upgrade for your car so dont go too cheap.. and enjoy the gtr.. getting sideways in 4wd is awesome :)

Welcome. If your pocket is deep then go for branded tyres, else, the likes of Fed and Kumho will do the same job (I heard they're noisy thats why they're not really popular with sedans but I cant hear anything). Federals models are 595SS and RS-R. The "equivalent" Kumhos are KU31 and KU36.

I was thinking about the federal 595 SS' but from a quick glance I can't find them in anything near 225/50/16...

I've read the wheel offset and tyre guide thread all the way through but can barely remember my own name after let alone the limits of safe figment...

what're are my size limits with the standard GTR rims?

KU31 has that size. The "equivalent" of SS will be KU31.

Thanks mate, found the Kumho Tyres thread from option1

Thinking I'll pick up some KU36's, and then source another set of GTR rims and wrap those in KU31's for regular use :-P
