Blizzerd
Did a search, found nothing of interest. Had my Stagea dyno'd and my air fuel ratio was terribad, Tuner recomended i get a new fuel pump. Seeing as the car is getting on a bit and i do plan to chase around 400hp-ish, i want to ask this question If i buy a Bosch 040 in tank fuel pump, will it fit Link for Fuel pump here i do not want a walbro, i hear they are temperamental with the voltage. Sunkist
would they be the same capability of the average skyline fitment wise? I know ours is identicle to the v35/350z just a thought might work looking it up for an R33 /R34? bubba
Just found this: http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144969 Looks like a skyline setup and considering they're based on R33 platforms I'd say it's just like installing a pump on an R33. My advice is to go with an 044 installed with a sock filter (similar to the stock setup) and mounted nice and low in the tank. That what my 32 is running and my mate is has the same in his GTS4 that's supporting nearly 600awhp. Blizzerd
make the 044 an internal one????? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348724-fuel-pump-upgrade/#findComment-5606088 Share on other sites
4bidn1
yeah def 044 internal had one set up in my silvia with a modified craddle standard filter when i went 2.2 stroker and had an external in the VLT soooo noisy drove me mad alright for track drag drift car, or other option is to mount under car protected of course good idea to run a good quality in line filter too, but this time trying a walbro know a few guys running them with no probs Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348724-fuel-pump-upgrade/#findComment-5606134 Share on other sites
wolverine
the bracket is angled in a S1/S2 stagea so you might have fuel pickup issues when the tank becomes more empty with an 040 due to its open base. The 044 despite being an external pump is fine in tank but you need a few fittings to make it work ie. sock etc. A genuine walbro will do the job and is easier to fit than an 040/044. Nismo stagea pump is direct fit, costs a little more but reduces on labour costs if you paying someone else to fit it. (All fuel pumps are affected by voltage not just walbros).
