Hey,

I probably have little chance of any interest but looking to trade my Custom Gaming PC for a:

Macbook Pro 15"

2009 - 2010

Prefer i7 or i5 is fine

4 - 8GB Ram

2.66 or 2.8 GHz

Preferably a Hi-Res Anti-Glare Screen upgrade

Prefer a SSD but not too fussed as external HD's will be my storage

Apple Care Protection Plan would be awesome too

This would be ideal but something extremly similar would be viable.

Computers major use will be for entertainment(Movies, TV, Starcraft 2) so hoping Macs are thermally efficient as they are powerful.

If deal is above and beyond expectation I am happy to pay fair cash adjustments.

Details of my PC are:

ASUS Mother Board (will give more specific to interested parties)

750 Watt Thermaltake Power Source

ASUS Heat Sync

6GB of Ram (2x2GB Kingston & 2x1GB Corsair)

Custom Water Cooling of CPU (Heat Block, Water Pump (most efficient and quietest available), 1 Liter reservoir, custom oversized lines/pipes leading to a top mounted radiator & 2 fans)

2 x GEFORCE NX8800 Video Cards SLI linked

6.5 TB of Hard Drive Space

Welland Portable Hard Drive Caddy

DVD Reader/Writer

1 x HDMI Port

4 x DVI ports

6 x USB ports

Spent countless money on my comp over the last 3 years but require something smaller and more portable now due to work.

That is all I can think of right now. If you need anymore info please PM or TXT me.

Information i should have added in the first post now down here

ASUS Mother Board M3N - HT DELUXE/MEMPIPE

AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core 2.51 GHz

Finders fee now available if someone can hook it up for a trade now.

Your better off selling it on ebay as a 'super machine' to fool the parents. Parting it out on ocau might work. But doubt you would actually getmuch. Or sell it ad a whole on ocau. I would guess around .700-800 for it mate. Maybe even less. Computers are so cheap nowadays.

Wow, Devastating especially when I know how much i have spent and have all the receipts. Wow that hurts.

I Suppose I will just hope someone gets a Macbok Pro for xmas and cant us it and needs a desktop. Probably my best bet.

But 700 - 800... I feel that is an incredibly harsh estimate but trade seems best option still for me.

10 computer years = 3 human years

One decade of computer parts, things go down faast in our world. Tech is upgrading so fast.Once you buy something, it'll be out dated in 1 year or so. One thing that WILL maintain value would be the WC system, any maybe those 8800's and the HDD's given there is nothing wrong with them.

Also will look at

Alienware M15X or M17X

2010 - ish

i7 840QM Processor (1.86GHz, 4core/8Threads, turbo boost 3.2Ghz, 8M cache),

8GB Ram,

1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460M

Not too fussed as external HD's will be my storage

Or very similar

Woah! Price Edit...

Did not know what i wasw thinking asking for that price.

$2200 cash. Still prefer a trade for Alienware M15X/M17X.

Also for the right computer i have cash to put on top.

Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

Asus M2N68-AM Plus $59

AMD 985 $102

4G kingston $95

GEFORCE NX8800 is 512mb and no longer made but 2X EVGA 512MB GT210 PCI-E VGA Card $48

2TB WD HDD $109

Water cooling about $200 depending on how full on you go.

Cases are worth peanuts unless they are lian-lee

So the important parts are $603 brand new. Just to give you an Idea. Good luck with it but computers are hard to sell. Does it come with any OS??

All prices from MSY and PCcasegear.
