what year did the r34 gtr start and finish... non vspec to vspec ..99 to 2000??? etc

i read somewhere about the year models but cant find the post agian..

thanks for any help

The R34 GT-R was in production from '99 - '02

yeah it was only in production for 3 short years , but how long can you see the R35 going for ?

Has already been in production for 3 years and no word of any upgrade til at least '12.

R36 will be cool, but wont be as groundbreaking as the R35 I'm guessing.

i'd be suprised if there is anything ground breaking about the R36. i think it will just be the next evolution of the R35

I'm sure the first R34 GTR was rolled out end of 1998.

And the last one rolled out start of 2003. (Apart from the 20 Z-tunes)

Nissan built the R34 GT-R from January 1999 up to the end of 2002, then Nismo offered the limited edition Z-Tune in 2003

There seems to be some conflicting information as to the first r34 gtr, this website http://www.japanesesportcars.com/skyline/history/years_serial.php says that there were 510 produced at the end of 1998.

I put the first vin bnr34 000051 into the Fast program and it came back as January 99 so it seems the website got it wrong.
